I got the Cyberpunk version of this back in November. Turns out it was one of the best ways to play that game. With the recent hardware shortages, this is a great stop gap solution. Stadia won't die before you can finish this game on it (ofc given you actually play it). When/if it does the Chromecast is still a competent streaming device.

All in all I'm very glad I got it and didn't listen to all the naysayers.

People like to shit on Stadia, but if you have a good connection it's pretty good. Playing Cyberpunk on it was a better experience than those who played it on Xbox One or PS4.

Yeah I wouldn't pay the new monthly fee probably but thankfully I'm locked in the original founders rate ...as long as I don't interrupt my service I guess. Hope they do more soon to justify that bump for new folks in particular - like adding those Rockstar and EA games for instance.

I would not have had any other way to play the new resident evil game without buying expensive hardware first, and now they're giving what tiny bit of hardware is required for stadia, for free! What a tremendous deal.

I have been enjoying, and impressed, with gaming on Stadia. I got an insanely good deal on borderlands 3 ultimate bundle (like $1 out of pocket) and having a blast playing that. Besides a few random hiccups it's been a perfect gaming experience. And maybe it's because my Stadia is on my bedroom TV and the PlayStation 5 is downstairs, but I've been playing Stadia way more often than PS5.

For what it's worth, I've also really enjoyed playing on Amazons Luna, also without any real issues and a great experience.

I have the stadia from last cyberpunk deal. As a previous holder of xbox one, i have to say it's a great way for gaming. I was planning on using it as a stop gap until the newer consoles are available and cheaper, but so far very happy with the results for games like cyberpunk, hitman 3, fifa and madden. Google is known to drop the services like flies, but as long as they allow transfer of existing licenses to a future console version in case they close, I believe this is worth the money.

Tempting offer...although some sketchy details in the promo FAQ. It says they'll send you a redemption code for the hardware by June 10 (game comes out May 7 and the promo itself ends way before June).

It also says the promo is only valid if the game page lists the offer, and I don't see it anywhere on the game page. Maybe it says it at checkout.

Says you'll be charged shipping, but it doesn't say how much.

So did I, and I engaged with Google support yesterday to see if they would retroactively make me part of this deal. They could not but it sounds like there is a 14-day return window, so they started an RMA on my old stadia premier kit and then I ordered the new one.

Though I'm kind of tempted to keep both maybe.

For those who haven't tried Stadia, you can do it for free with
+your existing Xbox one or PS4 controller,
+a decent internet connection,
+a device with internet browser. I have used an ipad, my 10 years old pc, a chromebook, my s10 with stadia app. They all work fine.

Signing up is free and can play some of the free games as other have posted.
