I have this and the dirty tank is a nightmare to clean and stinks because of that. I would not recommend it. If you get anything stuck in the dirty tank then good luck getting it out.

This is like saying I didn't kill him--the bullets killed him.

The tank stinks because you didn't bother to clean it. Nothing else. Can't blame anything else but your own lack of willpower to clean it.

You make a lot of assumptions. I clean it every time after I'm done using it. There is no way to reach inside to thoroughly clean or scrub it. I'm curious how you've been able to do it? I've bought long brushes to try to curve around the overflow float thing inside but still can't thoroughly scrub that way or reach everything (ie. see 10:30 in youtube video linked below). I own another Bissell carpet cleaner where the dirty tank is basically the same as on the little greenie but the overflow float in the middle of the dirty tank is removable so you can actually clean it and reach your hand in to clean out the tank itself. I'm not sure why they don't do the same thing on this stain cleaner since it's around the same price point as my other Bissell.

BTW, I followed this ladies youtube video for cleaning my greenie out every time when I'm done using it but it doesn't thoroughly clean it. It's basically just surface cleaning the inside of the dirty tank so if you have additional pointers I'd appreciate them.

I doubt, SD have an army of commenters who like pumping deals and trolling negative commenters 🤦 ♂️

Throw some Efferdent tablets into the dirty water tank along with some hot water. Lightly shake as needed.

Again, that's surface cleaning since you cannot scrub it. It helps somewhat with the odor, but even if you vacuum (this isn't always an option depending on the stain) before using your spot cleaner to suck up any pet fur or other debris, there will still be some stuck in the carpet which the spot cleaner can loosen up when scrubbing and will suck that debris up. This debris can get stuck in the float mechanism in the dirty tank and can be nearly impossible to get unstuck from my experience. I've tried what you suggested and shook the tank rigorously but the fur/debris remains stuck. The fur and other debris can get stuck in the clear plastic piece on the brush too and I cannot find away to remove this clear plastic piece for easy cleaning. I tried using a thin Dr. Brown baby bottle brush to get most of it unstuck and also following the cleaning tips in the previous video I posted but again some fur/debris still remains stuck from my experience. After awhile this starts to stink as well. I cut my losses and sold my little green and bought the more expensive SpotClean Pro version and have been very happy with it. The float in the dirty tanks on the SpotClean Pro is completely removable which makes cleaning both the tank and float extremely easy; I can easily scrub every part of the tank and float my heart desires by hand. The brush issue could still an issue on the SpotClean Pro model though which is disappointing. Knock on wood, it hasn't been an issue for me yet though. They really need to make the plastic piece on the brush easily removeable for cleaning purposes. I've seen earlier versions where the clear piece was removeable but the newer version it is not.

My experience may be different than others with the little green and it could work perfect for others. That just hasn't been my experience. BTW, my in-laws own the little greenie and have two mini longhaired dachshunds and have had a similar experience with theirs so I think this is more common than people may realize.
