Can anyone who has this model comment on whether this is a good price for the unit? I'm looking for something to just keep in the house for occasional sofa/car cleaning (not like area rugs or anything like that).

I've had it for about 6 months, I paid the same price for it. Works pretty well, I've used it on spots as well as two flights of carpeted stairs, and our couch cushions. It was a recommended spot cleaner on wirecutter and I'd say I'm happy with it for the price.

I've owned 5 of these. Why 5? Because each one disintegrated, in exactly the same way, right around roughly 14 months. Bissell is GARBAGE. Avoid.
