I don't know who keeps giving thumbs up to these deals. If it's one thing I've noticed in the reviews of basically every Columbia branded product sold on Amazon, the legitimate products are intermingled with Chinese replica knock offs (that look real), so the trade off for rolling the dice for the "deal" price is getting fake product and supporting the counterfeit market. Nobody else thinks it's suspect that deeply discounted Columbia deals pop up frequently, but only on Amazon? You're better off paying a few bucks more and buying directly from Columbia during their clearance sales.
Yes...shipped and sold by Amazon doesn't carry weight. Fakes are mixed with legitimate products in Amazon warehouses. There's many YouTube videos which cover this issue, if the reviews themselves on Amazon aren't convincing enough. Many board games have the same issue of fakes on Amazon as well...buyer beware.

It is sold and shipped by amazon. Do you still think they may still be fake? Just asking, as I am also concerned about authenticity when buying from Amazon.

The sad truth is that Amazon doesn't care. Most people who buy these can't tell the difference. It's gotten to the point that we're better off buying direct from Columbia or other companies.

I was able to pull the trigger, now I'm hesitated...

SD keeps promoting dubious Amazon deals because it's making them a lot of affiliate money.
Yes I could buy directly from Columbia in the big and tall size I need, but I'm hesitant to take out a loan right now. But again, I'm not buying the product to impress my high school friends, just want a jacket that looks decent and fits me.

I am pondering it just because Tall is usually a premium
But I won't need it for 7 months
And its free shipping for non prime too with a $4+ filler
