If you are doing wifi 6 for speed, you'll want 8 antennas. The ridiculous crab looking things.

For just signal, 4.

For coverage area, mesh.

Below that, you are wasting your time with wifi 6. Stick with a 2.4/5ghz router with a fast multicore cpu(1+ ghz) and modded firmware. Merlin, Xwrt, dd-wrt, tomato, etc.
This was garbage - taking forever to be booted, and the app UI was sluggish and outdated. I returned.
Netgear gets updated, and is less likely to have security issues. Not calling other countries networking equipment, but better to play it safe. If your place is not a mc mansion this will do just fine.

FYI: not sure if the RAX35 has been "updated" to be the RAX40 or not, but the images on Walmart's website show a USB 3.0 port, which the RAX35 is not supposed to have. I bought one during the last deal when it was $90-ish and mine did not have the USB port.

The RAX40 and RAX35 are identical except for this, and there are some reports that the RAX35 is now the RAX40 including the USB 3.0 port.

Apparently there was an issue with Netgear sending out the wrong marketing info for the RAX 35 / RAX40.

Walmart apparently never updated the pictures, but the model number on the site is RAX35 (with no USB 3 port).

Don't care much about the USB but interested in hearing about performance and range.

I got the TP-Link Archer AX21 ax1800. This one seems like a better deal. Is the performance better?

I take reviews on network gear with a grain of salt. While the average score is worth considering, everyone's network environment is different. There are lots of variables & settings that can affect performance and I don't trust the avg person to have the patience to troubleshoot.

Is this a decent upgrade over my Asus Blue Cave (AC2600) - I'm tempted simply because the Blue Cave doesn't play nice with a decent amount of IoT smart devices, like some of my Kasa bulbs have to be on my AT&T 2ghz, some other smart plugs, even my damn cat litter robot they literarily crash the router when they connect.
