I would think that people who are not into PC building or haven't been around SD for a while, probably know Newegg as "that place that sometimes sells discounted Xbox Live Gold," so it wouldn't be clear that the post is referring to PC games.

Pretty sure, it's more convenient for me to see in my notifications bar if it's for x console/ platform. I got excited for something I have no interest in, PC games. I'm sure those who are interested may be happy once they opened the link.
