MSRP $349.99, Regular price at Costco $299.99, $100.00 sale good through 4/4 = $199.99 with free shipping
Model RAX78 - Costco specific model number. Essentially equivalent to RAX70 (not RAX80) except for 6200 total gbps instead of 6600. All other features appear to be the same.
RAX70 prices = $341.99 (Amazon, Best Buy), $349.99 (Netgear)

my Asus AC68U router has the same range which is 5+ years old.
wasnt impressed by this router at all.
also after doing research, Netgear filters ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) connection for IPV6
my connection grade on https://ipv6-test.com/ could never get above 17 (out 20) because of this filtering.
With my Asus router and with Merlin installed my grade is 19 (out of 20)
Basically I just want it to be reasonably priced, easy to setup and use, fast, reliable and long-lasting. Why is that so hard to find sometimes? Isn't that what most of us want?!
I'm still leaning toward this one because of the price and the Costco warranty (I usually try to bend over backwards to get my tech at Costco) but I truly appreciate all of the comments and feedback I can get.
Ethernet backhaul is nonexistent, so there's pretty much no upgradeability. I got a RT-AC86 for another family and it has been flawless for them. I regret not just getting two AC86's.
Also no one should be buying a WiFi 6 router. WiFi 6E is where all the real gains are, and if your devices don't support WiFi 6 then what's the point?

No this requires a cable or fiber internet connection.
If you want to turn the network off, it just stops serving DNS -- IIRC this one actually requires a subscription for "parental controls" - lame.
I just go into the basement and pull my kid's ethernet port when it's time . . .
