So does that mean if I buy the phone from Apple, but use it on Verizon, I'm not eligible? Technically Apple can initiate activation.
No, Apple would be valid since it interfaces with Verizon/Tmobile/AT&T. What they mean is you can't just buy a phone off of eBay or Amazon.

I also have my phone (and laptop) as an add-on to my homeowner's policy for like $10/year just in case. Had a Macbook Pro I accidentally shattered on a trip replaced with full cash value.
Cool on the betterment....but homeowners? Please tell me that wouldn't count as a claim? Otherwise that would be one of the dumbest things to do

What does "replacement" mean? Is it replaced phones in the event of a claim? Is it also phones that I replace on my T-Mobile plan going forward?
This is all totally unclear to me.
