I bought this Refoss model currently with $5 off coupon making it $24.90 on Prime. Uses the same app as the Meross model here. I have a really old garage door opener. It doesn't even have sensors for an obstruction, but this module worked perfectly. All it basically does is complete the same circuit as the physical button does.

The big difference here is the Meross one has Homekit. It's more expensive because of the usual Apple tax. But if you want to control your garage door through Carplay, you have to pay the price.
