iPhone deal is dead. Only the A32 is valid.
Samsung Galaxy A32 5G upgrade
now only available via CSR or in store:
There was no way to add to cart (only add a new line) so I had to call to get the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G upgrade. CSR told me that they take any cellular device, even the bag phone, as long as it turns on and the screen isn't cracked. Tell them that website won't let you order to avoid the $20 "service" charge.
I received a text saying my trade in has $0 value for the free Galaxy A32 5G. Is that correct?
If your phone had any trade in value, say a Pixel XYZ with $100 value, you would've gotten a one time $100 credit on the upcoming bill and they would've given you the $182 balance over 24 months as monthly credits (to sum up to the $282 value of the phone, making it "free"). In your case, there's no one time bill credit because your trade-in phone had no value so you'll receive the $282 promotional value as a bill credit of $11.75/month over 24 months. You are buying the phone for $282 paid as $11.75/month and getting the corresponding promotional credit of $11.75/mo, both over 24 months, making it "free".
Similarly, if you trade in an old iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 for the half off iPhone 12 Mini, those will have $0 value also so no instant credit and $365 promotional credit will be given over 24 months.
For the free iPhone 12 with an iPhone 11 trade-in, I only received a trade-in value of $206 for the iPhone 11. Is this correct?
The trade-in value of the iPhone 11 is $206. You will receive the $206 as a one time bill credit on the first bill. Then you will receive the rest of the $830 promotional offer, which is $624, as monthly bill credits of $26/month over 24 months.
UPDATE 4/19/21
People keep asking this question. For the free Galaxy A32 5G phone, if your trade-in phone doesn't show in the dropdown list:

In the phone selection options, choose "5G Upgrade Promo All Carriers", "5G Upgrade Promo All Makes", "5G Upgrade Promo All Models".

They finally updated their promo page today. Looks like 3 separate promos, not a mix and match max 4 total. . .
Per needgeech's post, these are the respective three promotions [t-mobile.com]. Separate promotions means you can redeem up to 4 each if your credit allows it.
- 2021 Apple Trade P7, Promo Code: T567 (iPhone 12 Mini Deal)
- 2021 Samsung Trade P7, Promo Code: T555 (Samsung A32 deal)
- 2021 Apple Trade P6, Promo Code: T566 (iPhone 12 deal)
Multiple EIPs and recurring device credits on a single line? How Recurring Device Credits (RDC) work [t-mobile.com]
- To receive Recurring Device Credits (RDC), you must purchase your device on EIP and meet any other requirements of the promotion.
- You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per line at a time. To get a new Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo and keep your current credit, you must pay off the existing EIP first.
- If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)

UPDATE 4/18/21
The free unlimited addon is rolling out in waves today. Please be patient. Some people that cancelled their paid unlimited before today are seeing free unlimited now, but ymmv.
The iPhone promo is not currently showing up online but it is available. Order via support or in store. If online you may be able to get the support fee waived due to the offer not being available on the self serve website or app. Alternatively, get confirmation from T-Force on Twitter or Facebook that ordering online will activate the promo. Then order online as usual and do the eligible trade-in. The offer should automatically apply afterwards.
(In your account's Upgrade a Line option, you can get the iPhone promo.)
UPDATE 4/13/21
As an added bonus, all credit classes will have $0 down for the free A32 5G phone offer.
UPDATE: 4/12/21
- New info has been received about the free 5G phone upgrade. The promo isn't applicable for backorders. This means that if the phone is out of stock you can't get the promo, making this a sort of "while supplies last" type of deal.
EDIT 4/18/21: online looks like you can still order the phone even though it's backordered; just confirm your trade-in qualifies you for the promotional $282 credit and you should be good to go.
UPDATE: 4/10/21
- It seems T-Mobile is doing some annoying (imo) things regarding qualification for the free unlimited data upgrade on the 18th.
- If you are already paying for an unlimited addon, it will stay paid. You will not receive free unlimited.
- If you modify the line (remove the paid soc for example) after the 7th of april, you also will not qualify. So no removing the paid soc to get the free one later.
- Only existing customers with limited data buckets and no unlimited addon will get the free unlimited soc.
- It's a one time deal. Future lines added on a limited simple choice plan won't get free unlimited, for example.

- Taxes on full price ($282) due at purchase

Note: For iPhone offers, the trade in offer will only appear after you select the device to trade in. Login -> Upgrade -> Pick new phone -> Select trade in.
Unlimited TradeUp
- AT&T and Verizon customers on a limited data plan can switch to T-Mobile and pay the same or less for unlimited 5G
- Existing T-Mobile or Sprint customers on an older data-limited plan will be upgraded to unlimited data for free. Not a plan change, just an unlimited data add-on
- New customers switching from competitor will be placed on Magenta Essentials for 3+ lines or a unique promo plan. Unique plan will be 1 line for $50 or 2 lines for $80. +$25/mo per additional line. Customers with cheaper plans on a competitor can submit a bill to get an extra $5 off on single line plans and $10 off 2+ line plans.
- Begins April 18th
- Price will never go up due to the change
For A32 5g with trade-in, why is there bill credits for 24 months when the phone is free?
You are effectively buying the phone for $282 for which they will charge you $11.75 per month over 24 months. As long as the phone line it's assigned to remains active, they are also giving you a promotional credit of $11.75 per month over 24 months to make it net zero. That's how it's "free" as there will be a net $0 change to your month bill over 24 months as the monthly promotional credit cancels out the monthly phone charge. If you cancel the line before 24 months, the balance on the $282 you owe will be due and the $11.75 credit for the line goes away because the line is gone. Note you will pay tax on $282. If you do this in the store, you'll likely also pay the $20 assisted service fee (and possibly a sim card fee if you get a new sim card).

Can we get multiple promo credits on the same line?
A: YES ! YES !! YES !!!
If you pay off the existing EIP balance fully, the promo credits move to the account level (so to speak, in "their" system) but it is still listed under that line so T-Mo can track it in case you cancel that line in future before the duration (24 months in this case)!
I have done it i.e. paid off the device from Feb-2021 promo and started the new device EIP and as you can see in the attached image, both the credits are active under the same line (although internally they call it "moved to account level" and we couldn't care less as long as we get it right? lol)

It is not worth hanging onto those LG phones if you're not going to us them. There have been hundreds of thousands of those phones sold ... they're not going to have any value as a collectors item just because LG is getting out of the phone business.
I'm a single person who always had a single line
I pay $40 a month but that's because I'm not grandfathered and I never had postpaid. I always had prepaid. Whether your grandfathered plan gives you more than my current plan is IRRELEVANT
Its a grandfathered plan
We are talking about current plans. The prepaid current plans are the most affordable current plans T mobile has. You get unlimited data for $50
For you to get unlimited data on postpaid, you have to pay $60 right now
For people in current prepaid, doesn't make sense to switch to postpaid for this promotion, as whatever savings you get on a trade-in, would be cancelled out by the extra money you'll pay each month on postpaid
I'm not leaving TMO anytime soon. . .so yes I finance phones sometimes, if it's the best deal in the end. If not I buy in full from Sammy direct. But yeah $90 for 9 lines, plus the ability to trade up every year or two and not pay anything but taxes on the new phones. . .which itself is worth more per month than the cost of service.
Might want to find someone to share a plan, etc. Go to Mint for $30 a month unlimited, etc. etc. SO that you're not left out. Best deals are for groups, or singles on MVNO's. . .

The prepaid plans give you more data for less money. Just by switching from the $60 postpaid which has 50gb data to the unlimited $50 prepaid plan, you're saving $240 in 2 years which can go towards a new phone. Only a retard buys a new phone every 2 years.
That's a great way to stay broke just to look cool.
By switching to prepaid, in 5 years, you'll save $600, you buy a newer phone from Gazelle and keep it for another 5 years.
Once Apple stops supporting the iPhone 7 plus, that's when I'll buy a newer phone, so that September 2022.
Phones continue and continue to go up in prices, but retards continue and continue goign into debt and becoming broke for them just to look trendy and cool
You dont need the latest phone
'Course if you don't have any friends or family to take advantage of the family plans, you're out of luck. You might want to look into Visible, hit up reddit to join a Party Pay plan, and pay just $25/mo for unlimited data.

I'd rather stay in a single plan on my own terms without having to depend on the bullshit of others. I'll probably switch to the $50 unlimited prepaid plan, but right now I have only 10gb with the $40 plan and I never use all of it.
Every month, I'm averaging like 6 or 7gb tops.
The good thing about the $40 prepaid is that you get unlimited music that doesnt count towards your data
If I stay with the $40 plan, in 2 years, I saved $240 which could go towards a newer unlocked phone like an iphone 11 or 12 from gazelle
yeah not everyone has a family or friends that want to be on the same plan, but ive always been a one man operation, id rather do things alone without having to depend on others

I was comparing a single prepaid plan vs the single postpaid plan that T mobile currently has. In that case, the prepaid plan gives you more data for less price if you don't give a shit about 5g.
I wasn't comparing current prepaid plans to grandfathered postpaid plans either.
Everyone and their mother knows that single lines always get farked in the ass

I have apple music, so Im always listening, thats all i do on my phone
im not playing games or watching movies, i do that on wifi at home lol
makes no sense for me to pay for more data when i only use 6 or 7gb a month
