To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Does anyone know if a phone that has a damaged/cracked LCD layer count as a cracked screen? It is still touch responsive and the glass front is NOT cracked or broken in any way, but when it turns on there are parts of the screen that are all black or discolored.

Basically does cracked screen refer solely to the glass/plastic front only? Because some phones can have a cracked glass screen and no damage to the LCD touchscreen layer underneath. Or the other way as in my example where the glass/plastic is fine but the LCD touchscreen is damaged.

Can someone help make sure I am understanding this right? If I sign up with T-Mo and take advantage of a promo with bill credits, I can pay off the phone, have it unlocked and still continue to get the credits for 24 mo, correct? So if I got an iPhone 12 now, I could pay it off when the 13 comes out and switch to the 13.

interested to know if this works, looking to upgrade wifes iphone7 to a 12pro max or maybe pro for mothers day.

I know i am going for the max storage, just not sure which model i should get....any advice would be appreciated.
This deal is for existing line upgrade to a 5G phone. So, you get $415 off whatever 12 series phone you pick.

Between 12 and 12 Pro/Pro Max, the base storage is only 64GB for 12. If you already decided to get either Pro or Pro Max - then it comes down to preferred size. Going from 7 to 12 Pro may not seem that big to hold as bezels are very thin and it's all screen for the dimensions, but Pro Max definitely would.

One thing to consider, storage size doesn't matter when you eventually trade-in. So, the highest storage is $150 more from base, but doesn't give you any additional benefit when replacing it down the line. Also, unsure why, max storage variants are excluded sometimes from such trade-in deals.

Found a phone and the owner never responded so I reset the phone but you need an email to get into it. Basically a brick, do you think they'll take it? lol

Anybody know if Costco will give $829 rebate for iPhone 11 trade-in tomorrow? I plan to buy iPhone 12 Pro Max for $949 from Costco tomorrow. Do I still need to take 24 month credit if I buy it from Costco?

And we lose the bill credits if we try to pay it all off: How do you came up with this?
LOL
I just paid off 3 iPhones on my EIP and the credits are still there !
The reason I paid off early is because I want to start these new EIPs on the same lines and also they unlock the iPhones/Androids as soon as you pay those off !
As soon as I paid those off online, I asked them to unlock/whitelist those and they did in like 5 mins !!!
Quote from ther00kie16 :
How long before we are able to unlock these iPhones?
All they need is fully paid off phones before unlocking as I mentioned above.
Quote from cheapassdude :
I doubt it. My phone is paid off but they denied the unlock due to the bill credit but wouldn't hurt to ask.
How is unlocking related to "bill credits"? They want to make sure you fully own (i.e. have paid in full) that device before unlock !
Quote from odson :
I have a iPhone 6S with damaged Fingerprint reader on home button, everything is fine. Anybody hav experience trade similar phone in? Do they accept that? Thanks in advance.
Yes, they never tested the FP scanner, you will be resetting it anyway before sending it so should be good in my opinion.
Quote from Pat4Clippers :
Not a great deal for me because I love my $50 prepaid plan with T-Mobile. The lowest postpaid plan is about $70. The Essential Plan is $60 but rises to $70 which the Magenta Plan already is at a flat rate.

I did the math and I'm actually paying more for the 12 mini.

$20 x 24 = $480 + $365 = $845

Add the tax + extra charge of about $20-$30 at the store and I'm looking at another $80.

I'm good. I like the 12 mini but it's not worth it. I'm content with my $50 iPhone 7 in a 9/10 condition I got from Craigslist and my $80 second SE (2016) I got brand new from OfferUp.

I only use my iPhones as an iPod touch anyway. I prefer Android to blacklist calls and torrents. Why bother spending $845 in the long run when I love my $50 plan? Easy pass from me.
Well,
the ppl in this thread have like Magenta/T-Mo One plans with avg 25/line or even less than that in some cases (some folks even mentioned 10/line after the "plan upgrade"...lol). I myself have a full family of 12 lines with avg 25/line and since there is no "add a line" requirement in this promo, it's like a free phone for us !
Your calculation is based on wrong grounds i.e. "start the line only for skimming the device" which obviously they don't want hence the "24 bill credits" and hence Costco stopped matching T-Mo trade-in values due to skimmers !!!
Quote from KristinOC :
I am in the process of purchasing a house with a closing date at the end of the month. My loan officer said anything to do with EIP and TMobile to wait until after my loan close because they might run my credit. Anyone have any experience with T-Mobile running your credit for this promotion?
Never heard anything like that. May be case-by-case basis then !
I always start EIPs and never received any alert from Credit companies (the way I get when I open a new credit card)!!

I have 8 iPhone lines with EIP and promo credits. I'd like to trade in 4 old flip phones for the free Galaxy A32 5Gs.
Can I do this without losing my promo credits?

You can only have one line level EIP promo credit deal going. So you'll have to pay off the EIPs to move the EIP promo credit to the account level in at least four of those lines. I have three promo credits on my one line, two account level and one line level.

That's still considered a damaged screen. Basically it needs to be in "good" condition and a broken LCD *or* glass screen is not good condition.
