To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

That comment is how I know you have no idea what you're talking about.
These pre-paid or virtual mobile operator fanatical evangelists turn up in every mobile phone service thread. For them, no one should buy a post paid service which is too expensive but get one of the cheapie deals from marketing branded services (that use underlying carrier infrastructure) with all kinds of trade-offs because "it works for them". It is fine if it works for them but like Jehova's Witnessesthey seem hell bent on convincing everybody that they should do the same assuming that everyone's usage is just like theirs. Best to ignore these idiots.

Ha. You don't understand how it works. Look up the word subsidized. Postpaid comes with a additional cost over their prepaid or certainly any mvno.

If I order A32 online now but it's backordered, does it mean they can pull the promo anytime btw now and when the new phone ships out, and i will not be eligible for the promo?
T-mobile said in their press release the A32 promo is available until the end of the year, so it shouldn't be an issue. Doesn't mean they can't go against their word, but should be ok. The iPhone 12 promo is only until May 1 though.

Went to Tmo store. Was in and out in 10 minutes.

The new phone is nicer than I expected.

I have old phone that does not have IMEI so I called 611 to see if rep can help me. I called 3 times and none of the reps seem to know how to go about this. Anyone else have another route I can go?
Quote from waterchange :
No one here is going to be able to give you any definitive answer. So your best bet is to trade this in at a store. The store reps will either accept the trade or not; hopefully it's likely they will as the trade-in phone really is a formality and none of these old phones we're all trading in have any value. If you have to send in your trade-in, there's a tiny chance someone rejects your phone and now you just bought a $282 Galaxy A32; I personally wouldn't take that chance.
Ok, so based on my experience, here is a summary of ways to go about this.

Online: will only work if you have a valid IMEI number and not just MEID number, although a few posts up someone said there MAY be a way to convert the MEID into IMEI which would be accepted into their system (but not sure how they will verify this number when they get the phone if they can't locate the IMEI number on the phone itself when they receive it). They probably shouldn't care though, nevertheless a slight risk. Online charges $6.99 shipping but no upgrade fee. You could call in and have this credited back to you. Have the order ready to go and when the phone rep says you can, then stall them and place the order online so you can have the credit done right then.

Phone: You can get upgrade fee and shipping waived, but you won't be able to have them accept MEID. See above for possible workaround. I have been told they can only waive the upgrade fee once. I got it once and then called today for a 2nd phone and they said no because i already got it once. I am not sure if you could get multiple phones done with it all waived on 1 order though.

Store: Your only option if you want to be absolutely sure they take your old phone. If your old phone only holds like 30% battery, it would be a big risk to send it in IMHO. They do charge upgrade fee of $20. You may be able to call in and have them credit you this back (but see above to see the limitations on this). No shipping if the phone is in stock at the store. Not sure if they charge shipping if they have to order.

Link to possibly converting MEID to IMEI (see above for my thoughts on this)

Edit:
I just tried this with a Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2. Using this method gave me a valid IMEI number but when I input that number plus the last digit back into this website it pulls up a Samsung Stratosphere phone. So i guess using this method there is a risk that when they receive the phone they won't be able to verify that it corresponds to the phone because it shows up a different brand/model.

This promo should run for the rest of the year as announced... If they end it mid-way, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of unhappy customers, me included...
Not true. Terms and conditions indicate "while supplies last". So if they run out and cannot fulfill the backorders, they wont apply any promo to your account and your account will remain as is.

Its important to wait for your phone to be shipped and received before sending in your trade in. You have 30 days after receiving shipment from Tmobile to ship back trade - in.

On my plan, we pay $17.50/line. Includes basic Netflix, free 1 hour GoGo wifi, free international data/text, possible throttling on a busy tower after 100GB high speed LTE/5G, tax included. Many here pay much lower than I do. I'm happy with my plan but would love to hear from you about which prepaid or mvno I should consider switching to in order to save money and stop subsidizing everyone.

Can someone help me? The instruction says after logging in, I need to add the phone to cart. There's no button 'Add to cart'. The website shows the phone is on backorder. There are only two options: 'Upgrade' or 'Add to a new line'. There's no 'Add to cart'.
Thanks.

You want "Upgrade" and choose the line you want to assign the equipment purchase to. And yes, you are purchasing the phone on an equipment plan ($11.75/mo over 24 months = $282 price of phone) and you'll get credited the same amount per month from the promotion.

where are you seeing the free iphone 12 when trading in an iphone 11 WITHOUT adding a new line?
I don't see it on T-mobile website, but if you just select iPhone 12, click Upgrade, then enter your iPhone 11 info, you will see $830. I did it last night. You basically pay about $70 (sales tax and $6.99 shipping) for the upgrade. It is a pretty slick deal considered that I only paid $599 - $50 apple credit for the iPhone 11 last year.

You are correct... that's why your point of waiting until you get the actual new phone before shipping your trade-in phone is very important.

But as long as there is a phone in stock, or they are able to fulfill the orders, this should run for the entire year...
