To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

These pre-paid or virtual mobile operator fanatical evangelists turn up in every mobile phone service thread. For them, no one should buy a post paid service which is too expensive but get one of the cheapie deals from marketing branded services (that use underlying carrier infrastructure) with all kinds of trade-offs because "it works for them". It is fine if it works for them but like Jehova's Witnessesthey seem hell bent on convincing everybody that they should do the same assuming that everyone's usage is just like theirs. Best to ignore these idiots.
Exactly. I mean, I could pay $10/m for a red rocket prepaid, but why would I want to deal with that for my family? Especially when we fly to Asia a lot. Or used to anyway.

I went to Costco for the A32 5G. I traded in an old Kyocera from Boost. The tax on the A32 was $28.21, but I also received an application for a $30 gift card for "Costco Members Save Everyday. Get a $30 Costco shop card with the purchase of any handset."

So in effect, I will have gotten PAID $1.79 to get a new phone. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I had an old CDMA phone (No IMEI) and it took a while to connect with a rep that knew how to manually apply the phone's serial number on the promotion. 3- 611 calls, 1 app chat and finally FB chat worked. But it was the slowest service ever. Had 3 reps join the conversation but they were able to manually setup the promotion.
Lesson - Find someone that knows off the bat what you need if not, hang up and try again. Otherwise, they will waste 10 minutes researching and come back and say you need the imei to proceed.

For those that see a trade in value of $0, it is because our phones hold no trade in value but you will receive the $282 credit over 24 months. DONT WORRY.

Did you pay for the full price of the phone upfront at Costco? Or are they billing the cost to your T-mobile account over 24 months?

Just curious because I have Costco gift cards to use so I want to pay for the phone upfront.

"in exchange for almost nothing"?

Hardly. T-Mo postpaid people are paying through the nose and why the monthly service more than covers the actual cost of a phone.
That is a preposterous statement. First off, you're welcome to change your service. I'm paying about $140 per month after taxes for 5 lines of unlimited mobile service plus -- as of the launch of their new promotions -- unlimited high speed data at no additional charge.

I don't know what you're paying but you're making a statement with literally ZERO knowledge of their financial expenses. I challenge you to provide ANYTHING to substantiate your ridiculous pretense of knowledge of the costs associated with providing their service.

You're just making things up because you want something for free. Guess what? You don't deserve ANYTHING for free. Nobody does. That being said, exchanging a brand new phone with the latest cellular technology in it for something that became obsolete YEARS ago is on any possible quantifiable level free.

Are you seriously crying that they aren't just giving free phones away to everyone regardless of their intention to use the service or not? That's one of the most selfish things you could possibly say. The irony is that you're obviously a hypocrite.

I wonder if you think it's reasonable that everyone who labors should do so for free, because that's EXACTLY what you're expecting. These devices didn't POOF into existence out of thin air. There is/are research, materials, employees, logistics, benefits, and taxes that all play into the cost of that device which you are crying about receiving in exchange for little more than a promise that you'll keep the service for a while in exchange. This promo should run for the rest of the year as announced... If they end it mid-way, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of unhappy customers, me included...
So what. Then why not take advantage of it now than place blame on them. Like any promotion, they can end it sooner than expected. It's a free freaking phone, get a grip.

You snooze you lose.
