To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

What's bets in my case? I have 11 pro 512gb and have $400 pay off amount left.
Pay that off to get an IPhone 12 or 12 pro? I don't want to spend a lot after the $830 credit so I can settle for 256gb size.
Or don't pay off yet and don't do upgrade?

I have XS paid off but credit is only $415 and I can't even get the 12 mini for free with this trade in credit.

"in exchange for almost nothing"?

Hardly. T-Mo postpaid people are paying through the nose and why the monthly service more than covers the actual cost of a phone.
I realize that not everybody joined TMO at the right time, are paying more per line than others, or couldn't get in on all the free lines last year. Or only need one or two lines total. . .which is a tough position to be in as far as per line cost.

But many people here are getting 4 of these A32's in exchange for worthless flip phones and the tax only. . .and putting them on the 4 free lines they got last year.

If I moved all my lines to Visible party pay ($25 a month each) I would be paying over 2X as much as I am now. . .and would lose perks like these free phones or the ability to get subsidized better phone upgrades, Tuesdays, Netflix, etc

humm. then it is no different than ordering online. Not sure what is the advantage of doing it. Also, if costco fo in stock iphone sale with trade in that would be awesome as they are cheaper in store but I don't think they will do it.

If done right, T-Mobile postpaid is a better deal for multi-line plans than prepaid. But it seems that a lot of people aren't willing to put in the work to get those savings.
Totally agree. The catch is to get the right group of folks to max out the 12-line consumer plan with the best possible deals when it comes.

Did the IPhone 11 for 12 deal but chose the 5g promo instead of the IPhone 11 as the trade in and didn't see the credit screen like I did with the A32. Did anyone else do that? Do you think I need to call T-Mobile?

Personally, I wouldn't trade in a 512GB 11 Pro for $830 and pay extra for 12 Pro, especially when you have to pay 11 Pro off first. Are you getting any bill credits for it?

If you have multiple lines currently on your account, you can use that to your advantage to move one or more lines out for 3 to 4 month period and come back in as a new customer. If Visible continues to do their $100 GC for BYOD and now that Party Pay is no longer limited to 4 at $25/month, you can stay outside for free and come back, which will give you better deals for an iPhone 13. If you have Hookup and free lines currently, you will need to plan it carefully so as to not mess up those "lifetime" discounts and still able to move lines in and out.

For the old CDMA phones with only the HEX and DEC MEID and not IMEI, this is a possible solution to try according to Facebook Messenger T-Force...

Quote :
We are aware of not all of the MEID codes working so you would take off the first 3 digits to make it fit

Neither of my two phones would clear with that method, but one of them *did* let me continue when I removed the last three digits rather than the first three.

If you still need intervention by T-Force to push it through, I think they are automatically waiving the "Assist Fee" for non IMEI phone issues since you don't have a way to continue without their help. It was never mentioned and I wasn't charged for it.

I was at costco today as well for the iP12 - they had the deal sheet of something that looked similar (half off iP12) but was for last week. I started the process but had to cancel when I took notice. I now see an EIP iP12 on my acct (fark!) so hope this does screw things up for me!
Had to work with Costco guy this morn to make sure everything was canceled and he said he called TMO to get my EIP off but it is still showing. Weird thing is it shows a $14.84 monthly discount and coupled with the $59 they would give for my iP7+, that comes out to $415 (14.84*24=356 + 59 = 415) over 24 months!

I asked again this morn and guy is adamant that Costco is not supporting this promo for iP12 so oh well. Hope my EIP gets corrected soon...

You apparently get a $30 gift card from Costco for a handset purchase. And free shipping.

Crap and scam only to those who are either not tmob customers, or those that intend on leaving tmob before receiving all the bill credits.
While "free" isn't totally free, because you are still paying tax, and trading in a device, whoopty do..what else ya gonna do with a hunk of crap sitting in your drawer. May as well get rid of it, pay about $25 and have a decent backup phone. Or some will just pay off the eip, keep getting those credits, because they are staying with tmob, and sell the phone. But these won't sell for much. maybe $125 because the market will be flooded.

I have 7 out of nine lines with eip promos attached. Some phones I sold, made some money, and two flagship phones I kept, each of those I scored $800 off in the form of bill credits.
Not crap or scam to me, because its free money, as long as you know how to play the game.
What's crap and a scam is Verizon and att with their overpriced, slow service. I've got 9 tmob lines, 6 of which I use, and my plan with netflix is around $29. Wonder how much verizon would charge me for that.🤔
I think I'm going to try this today so I want to make sure I go in knowing how to handle it. I got my Galaxy S3 to power on and did a factory reset on it. When I trade this in, I tell them that I want the A32 but I don't want to activate it? That will allow me to continue to use my LG V35 on the line?

Also, if I want to sell the new phone, I have to pay it off first? That allows someone else to activate it on their plan? Does it have to still be activated on T-Mobile or will paying it off allow it to be used on other networks?

Thank you

I just talked to a rep at my local costco kiosk in the Pacific NW.

He told me that Costco is not mirroring the trade in deal with a Mastercard like they usually do. What they can do is process the same deal you would get at T-Mobile but the phone will be shipped instead of provided in store. This opens up your choices a bit because usually their in-store inventory is quite limited.

The main benefit of going the Costco route is that they waive the activation fee plus they send you a bonus Costco Shop card. I forgot the exact value but its small. I believe the phone will not have the typical 50 dollars off retail price though. So yeah if your a Costco member it still might be worth it for the activation fee being waived plus the convenience of Costco returns.

Please correct me if you have any Costco information that conflicts with what I heard over the phone from the kiosk.
