To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Also, I have a OLD samsung galaxy phone (first gen).

I does not seem to turn on... do they check when they receive the phone? I do have access to the EMI numbers. Like, I can say that the phone broke in the mail?

For those that traded iphone11 to the 12. TM usually sells it on the EIP and credits the difference but in this offer, it is a straight 11 for 12. So there shouldn't be any of those credits and debits, right?

I should be just paying for the tax and shipping/upgrade fee if any? Is this correct?

Oh, people that went to Costco for this deal what is the current price for Iphone12 64Gb there?

Thank you very much for replying!
you still are under the '2 year contract'
the price is $830 but you get that value back via 24 monthly bill credits.

I think I'm going to try this today so I want to make sure I go in knowing how to handle it. I got my Galaxy S3 to power on and did a factory reset on it. When I trade this in, I tell them that I want the A32 but I don't want to activate it? That will allow me to continue to use my LG V35 on the line?

Also, if I want to sell the new phone, I have to pay it off first? That allows someone else to activate it on their plan? Does it have to still be activated on T-Mobile or will paying it off allow it to be used on other networks?

Thank you

Once credit is billed to your account you can pay off the phone and sell it and the credit will still apply to your account for 24 months (per 611 expert). But credit must be applied first. I would wait a month before selling it.

Trade in phone must be paid off and IMEI clean. You don't need to activate it. Just upgrade a line. Make sure the rep know it's for the A32 5G trade-in. I had to help the store rep find it in his system...lol

I still haven't opened the A32 I got I Sunday.

If you purchase from T-Mobile with the assistance of a live person, yes.

To avoid the fee, you need to order online with no assistance, or purchase from Costco.

They do a full check. Power on, removed battery, check for physical damage and if it charge (in store) Mail in they will keep the phone and not give you the trade in credit if it doesn't follow the criteria so be careful when doing mail in trade in if your trade in doesn't power on.

you are risking a lot of money by doing this.
Just buy a cheap $10-$20 throwaway phone that is fully working and do the trade with that.

ALSO....

Tmobile just told me that I CAN NOT HAVE TWO PROMOTIONS ON ONE LINE.... so I already have a monthly bill credit for the Samsung A20 FE phone and they told me if I trade in an old phone for the A32, I will loose all promotional monthly credits for the Samsung S20 FE phone that I currently have.

I mentioned this before and I had so many people call me CRAZY.... sure enough I went to upgrade and I was told I will lose my monthly credits for the Samsung S20 FE phone.

No, mine was sealed. They did not open it. Maybe they need to open it if they want to activate the SIM card that inside the box.

Disregarding the value of the iPhone 11, you are buying the iPhone 12 on EIP for $$830 over 24 months and they will give you bill credits totaling $830 over months to make it "free". You will get some assigned value for you iPhone 11 trade in so the monthly EIP amount will be less than $830 divided by 24.

You will pay tax on the $830. If you are doing this online, you will pay for $6.99 for shipping and but no $20 "assistance fee". If you do this in store, hopefully the iPhone 12 is in stock so there's no shipping charge but you will pay the assistance fee.

It's a 5G phone for tax only. How much use are you getting from your 240x240 flip phone screen?
I haven't had a flip phone for more than a decade. If I was using one now I wouldn't be complaining about a 1600 x 720 screen, genius!

This low end 5G Samsung phone is not "tax only", it requires a working trade-in and a 2 year commitment to T-Mobile. I'd rather keep my current 4G phone than trade it in for this one.

Again, not true, you can have multiple promotions on one line. Check my earlier post

Apologies if its been answered since I didn't want to scroll through the entire thread, saw 100 pages ago that if my existing iphone 11 has bill credits, if i trade it in, those bill credits will be transferred to the "account level" as opposed to being on the line, so that both can continue. Is this confirmed?

Also, for the free unlimited data, does that include Netflix or wifi hotspot?

Thanks!
