To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

I think you may have received a couple of wrong responses to this. At least for me, it says I'm getting a $206 bill credit for my iphone and then the rest over 24 months, so indeed my bill will go up by $8.58/mo). At least that's how I read it.
How is the math calculated on your transaction if I may ask?

LOL..sure. Lets have a peek at that Magenta bill for 4 lines. Total cost.
I happen to have 12 lines on my Magenta plan. $210 total or $17.50 per line, tax included. If you paid attention to the T-Mobile threads, you would've been able to get 4 lines for $96 tax included. Then added at least 4 more FREE lines the past few months ... all for the same $96. I'm actually paying more than I could be because I already maxed out my plan before being able to take advantage of the last 4 free line offers.

But if you're happy with pre-paid, we're happy for you.

We already clarified that it works best as you add more lines. Yes, Magenta on a single line, 2, 3 or 4-lines may not be ideal for some. Unless you have added two free lines on a 4-line Magenta - it is typically $140/month before any discounts with 3rd line free. If you have two free lines, then it is $120/month. If you are lucky to get a Hookup discount, that gives you 20% discount on top of this base price ($96 or $112).

Those who see value in this have much more than 4-lines. Find a compatible group that you can combine - family or friends who you are comfortable with to share to bring the average down. Our 11-lines are split across 3 families averaging ~$11/line/month + any additional EIP payments + Netflix $9 UHD upgrade.

TLDR; 4-line Magenta may not be cheaper than some prepaid. We are talking about much more.

Woohoo, I finally got my Unlimited high speed for free on the line I was paying $15/mo for the same data addon. I didn't get it through the simple 5G free upgrade way with this thread's promo; I had to go through the hard way, through a T-Mobile Expert and through T-Force but Tracy from T-Force came through for me. Hey, BJFish, don't bash T-Force and call them clueless $12 wage earners; they may have not helped you but be nice to those people; sure some may not know as much as others on there but you have to be persistent and find one that eventually knows the ins/outs of the T-Mobile system. I give you credit for taking the risk to drop your addon early and am happy you got your free upgrade but this is not a competition.

Chat response with T-Force

2 Hours later on my T-Force chat box.

So for those of you still paying $15, $20, $30, etc for the unlimited high speed data addon on your line, they have to remove that addon first before they can add the free unlimited high speed data addon. Yes, BJFish, you were right, no need to gloat, not a competition.

Like some have said, you could wait until the system finalizes in the next few days to see if you got the free upgrade for the paid unlimited high speed data addon too before you contact T-Force. With all the phone promos going, expect to wait a while for a response
Do you know if all your lines got upgraded to unlimited high speed after you made the downgrade? I have 3 paid data add ons (7 total) but dont want to put the other 4gb lines at risk of not getting the upgrade

The $100 difference is the $99 down payment you made. You will get that back over 24 months on top of the $415.
$100 is a iphone 8 trade in value which you will get in the second bill as a bill credit

I went to a T-Moble store and did this exchange today. However, even though they just plopped the phone in a bag and gave it to me, I was charged a $20 "upgrade fee" in addition to the tax.

I called the 611 T-Mobile number and they credited my account for the $20. Just FYI.

I see this note in one of the order docs
---
Once your new iPhone 12 ships, you'll have 30 days to send back your current Apple iPhone 11 64GB Black - T-Mobile in good condition to receive a one‑time bill credit of $206.00.
---

I guess that means I pay $830/24=$34.58/mo and get an EIP credit of ($830-$206)/24=$26/mo for 24 months. And then get $206 off my next bill.

Sadly no kick back on Magenta for me ... I would be saving a ton more on my monthly bill if my lines had that as only 2 of the 12 lines have been using any cellular data during these times. (Netflix already mentioned previously to the dude.)

I have 10 lines, 7 were upgraded in 2019 to free unlimited high speed, 1 line always had the $15 unlimited high speed addon (the reason it wasn't upgrade for free and seems to be the same reason this time also), and 2 lines I added last year, which has the default 10GB LTE w/ data stash; I can't tell for sure if these last 2 lines have been upgraded; there's no indication anywhere; I like them to get the free upgraded but if not I don't really care because the users are elders who use less than 0.5GB a month; I mean their stash balance is always 20GB, lol. The only line I wanted the free upgrade was the line with the $15 addon. But I guess the system is still updating and perhaps the next bill cycle is when each person will find out?

If you have the 2 or 4GB plan, maybe look at your hotspot detail for that line; if it says X of 5GB used, then perhaps it got the free upgrade; this is according to BJFish. I guess if the line is not that important, then try to blow through the 2 or 4GB and see if it's throttled; if not, then perhaps you got it for that line. Again, this is based on BJFish and others who have posted; I don't have that plan so I have no idea.
