To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Thank you. "The 11 will be moved to account level bill credits"..... this happens automatically? I thought bill credits are completely lost once EIP is paid off.
Your bill credits should automatically move to account level after you payoff EIP. If you don't believe strangers on online forum, here is what you should do. You contact customer service and ask that you want to payoff your EIP so you can unlock your phone for whatever reason. You would like to know what would happen to your bill credit. If customer service doesn't give you straight answer, you probably should hang up and move on to the next one. After you get your bill credit moved, you tell them you need a new replacement phone and you would like to take advantage new bill credit promotion. It is easier to talk to customer service when you have problem instead of asking them for a favor.

Do you guys wait until you actually receive the new phone before sending in the traide-in phones? I'm looking at the label, and it shows that the label will expire 30 days from now, but the phone is back ordered and won't deliver until maybe may 10th....
If i send it in early before i get the phone will they confirm that they receive it and everything will be good with the trade in? TIA!
May 10 is well within the 30 day window. Realistically, you can probably just ship your trade-in as soon as you get the shipping notification for the new phone.

Depends on if you are still using the trade phone. I like to have the phone on hand before send out

If not, either way is fine

WHOA. Mind blown.

Then what is there to prevent doing promotions with bill credits EVERY time? Why wait 24 months?
Well, for one, there aren't that many promos that apply to existing lines.

Forgive me as I am naive. I have T-mobile with one line. I can easily trade in any phone but i'm curious - do I need to add a new line or do I just keep the phone as a backup? What are the costs if I do this deal as a backup phone?
You don't need to add line to get the free Galaxy A32 5G. You just need to trade in any working phone, pay tax on $282, $6.99 shipping (unless you get it waved), possibly a $20 assistance fees if you don't do the upgrade yourself online (or can't get it waived if you have someone helping you), and maintain your one line for 24 months in order to get the full $282 in promotional credits to offset the $282 you are buying the phone for. You will be charged $11.75 per month for 24 months for the phone and receive the corresponding promotional credit of $11.75 per month for 24 months.

So if you keep your line active for 24 months, your costs are tax on $282, a $6.99 shipping fee, and maybe the $20 assistance fee.

"If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months)."

If you're sending in worthless phones for the free Galaxy A32 5G, might as well send them in now as there's really no harm in doing so as you have nothing to lose. Or wait ... it doesn't matter. I sent all my worthless phones in today. BTW, take pictures of everything including your worthless phones turned on, its non cracked screen, the IMEI number under the battery, etc. Likely nothing will go wrong with the trade in but pictures are free.

UPS delivered the A32 today. The 720p screen is not as bad as I thought it would be. Colors definitely seem muted though. Otherwise very snappy and I couldn't detect any lag yet. Camera is fairly good; wide angle lens is great. Couldn't really notice any difference between 5G and 4G LTE speed.

Overall, for a "free" phone, I am pretty happy with it.

Thanks OP...traded in a Alactel One Touch Evolve (have zero recollection of ever using it) and iPhone 11 I got for free last summer...

People on this board must not do trade ins to T-Mobile very often...it's pretty straightforward and painless. The couple times there have been mix ups, Tmob has taken care of it...though it took a few phone calls.

Your XS is worth ~$300+ if you're up to selling it yourself on Swappa/Craigslist/OfferUp. Do that, go get a ~$100 iPhone 7 for the same $415 trade in value and hopefully net ~$200 compared to trading the XS in.
Thanks for that. The XS doesnt get any iphone 12. My 11 pro 512gb is expensive phone due to its storage size so paying $400 pay off amount and then another $200 for 256GB Iphone 12 seems like a waste of money.
