For the A32 offer, if I end up not liking the phone and/or deciding to purchase a different phone later on by myself, I could theoretically just not tell TMobile anything and have the credits returned to me by the end of the 24-month window?

Asking because the reviews are not so great, but I don't see any harm if I'm definitely going to be on my same TMobile plan for at least 2 more years. What I'm a little worried about is if another "free" phone promo comes out, and it seems like it's not so straightforward to pay off the EIP and get the new offer.

Also, I'm grandfathered into a very old Simple Choice plan, which would not change to a different rate / plan with the A32 offer right?

Thanks in advance!

People buy Mercedes instead of Toyotas for the same reason. Never mind that the Mercedes (or BMW) will become a huge money pit over time, and the Toyota will go for 400K+ miles, while the Mercedes resale value will drop like a rock.

Even for the flagship S21 models compared to iPhone 12, Samsung depreciation % is double.
So what is your point?

Purchasing a phone on an equipment installment plan, like this "free" A32 offer, will not change your plan. Edit: and you never have to use the phone if you don't want to.

And free phone offers to existing customers with existing lines (without having to add a line) are relatively rare so I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about missing out on the next one. There might not be a next one. And, as been mentioned many times, if the stars align and there actually is a next one, just pay off the current EIP balance and your line can take advantage of the new offer.

I have iPhone 4S with cracks on the back glass. The screen and display itself is fine. I do not see any exclusion when I did the submission online. So is it safe to trade it in or would I get stuck with having to pay for the A32 out of my own pocket?

Does anyone know when this promotion ends?
I read somewhere that this promotion will stay for a year but the free 5g phone might change from time to time. Can someone confirm this?
Thank you.
Supposedly the A32 promo runs through the end of the year or while supply lasts, so T-mobile technically could pull the offer at any time.

I doubt they would want to end the promo early however since they are roping in many people for 2 years of service by dangling a lower-end phone for "free," all while moving customers to 5g.

So it is possible the model of phone being offered may change in the future, but no word on that as far as I have seen at this early stage of the promo.

As for the current iPhone deals, they end May 1.

Congrats, you are the 100th person to post that same thing. I guess that's how you manage to get 23,000 posts. Kudo's.

Anyway, I'm OK with it, ain't going nowhere else as I have 9 lines at $170/mo and now 7 phones, all basically free. I think I can live with that - LMAO.

Actually 2 years. I mean, why do people keep repeating this thing.. Verizon and At&T are losing customers to t-mobile. And in 2-5 years, t-mobile will be the top carrier in terms of #s.

it's not like t-mobile is putting a gun to your head to call and get an upgrade???.

I bet some people would still crib and cry if t-mobile gave them all their billion $$ spectrum for free.
.
They would say, ""Great deal, good luck finding a cash buyer for the spectrum in this economy"

Yes free line is the best to buy a phone on EIP on since there's no cost to you.

But who knows if the next deal is the same. As time passes by the tradein value for a phone drops
If you do this on a free line, don't you lose the free line offer? Thought they were not upgradable for phones?

To clarify - wondering if the A32 deal is eligble for the Unlimited on Us free lines? Anyone have this answer or been able to do this deal without losing their "on us" free line?

you're confused with sprint kick-start line. T-Mobile free line has no such restriction.

I'm on a very old simple choice plan too. The real deal is the upgrade to unlimited service. The free phone is a nice bonus

Supposedly cracks on the back glass should not disqualify the phone. But official policy doesn't appear to always be applied [t-mobile.com]. For the free A32 5G with such an easy trade-in requirement, you're better off hitting up friends, coworkers, neighbors asking if they have any old phone you can have. Or go to a thrift store and find one or buy that one for $10 on Amazon that's been linked a bazillion time in this thread. It's just not worth the chance trading in a possibly suspect phone when there are so many other cheap/free options that won't put the $282 in credits in jeopardy.
