Is the A32 phone locked? I want to give it to someone, but they aren't on TMO network.

It's not as bad as whoever posted that comment. It just looks like a normal cell phone to me; very usable. fwiw, my daily driver phone has a 3120x1440 6.1" OLED and I would be fine with the screen on the A32 but maybe I'm just less discerning than others.

jnads posted this review a few days ago echoing similar sentiments about the screen.

It is locked to T-Mobile (which would make sense if T-Mobile still owned the phone aka you haven't paid it off yet). Check out the requirements for unlock eligibility here: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...ess-device

It's about as bad as a 20 year old TFT display. But the 90hz is nice for motion.

So I have a note 4 that is missing the stylus and the glass on the rear camera is broken. Camera works though and the screen is good. Would they accept it ? Secondly, does the free phone require an active line ?

I am receiving monthly bill credits for my iphone 11 already. Is it okay to trade that in for the iphone 12? would i lose my previous monthly bill credits?

also is my math right? trade in iphone 11 and get iphone 12 for free, only pay taxes.

OK,
I don't mind getting TDs but at least explain why you are giving TDs so others (including me) will know the caveats!
e.g. AliExpress takes too long to deliver? or is this specific phone case of poor quality? Or there is no free shipping/returns so it's too risky? What ae your thoughts? Or just TD and move on is your motto of life?

Every single device you buy from T-Mo is locked (unless they specifically mention it as "carrier unlocked" which is rare) and unless you pay it off fully and use it for 40 days on T-Mo network, they won't unlock it !
Of course, you can activate it once, leave it on for a few hrs, take out the sim and use it in your regular device, then keep this new phone in the drawer for 40 days and again use that SIM card in that device on the last day (at least for a few hours) so it shows "active" on that line in their system and in your account then you can "claim" that "I have mostly used this device on this line except a few hours in emergency..." blah blah story, then they will unlock it (assuming you pay it off fully first)!
Again, this is my own experience since I don't use every device "actively" on a line so this is what I do !

I just received a32 and the 5g is super slow like 20mb. However my pixel 4a 5g phone 5g speed is 400mb. I'm in NYC. Does anyone have the same issue?
Make sure you use one of the newer SIM cards that say R15, the old ones may not get full 5G power. You may have to transfer the line from and old SIM to a new one. You can do that yourself in the account under line - transfer to new SIM or eSIM takes 5 minutes and a reboot.

Planned use: internet backup with ASUS router.

Did anyone try to use this a32 phone usb tethered for internet backup with an ASUS router? I have asuswrt-Merlin on the router and thought this android phone could be a could potential backup to tether to the router so all home network WiFi could use this connection. Always wanted to try this but never had an android phone. Did anyone play with this already? You know, put the free line and a free phone to use. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if it is similar to it being used at a hotspot but it only lets you use 6gb of high speed and then it drops to 128kbps

People saying it's terrible must be from 2041. It's a great screen. DPI is less than a $800 iPhone but 3-4 years ago it would be on par with a premium phone. Colors are less vibrant than a iPhone 12, that's about it. Very nice device , speedy and premium feel to it, makes you wonder why a iPhone 12 Pro is 1000 and this is 1/4 of the price

That's exactly what I said here casually a few days ago and all those iSheep jumped over me as if I am cursing their wives or something...lol 😬😜🤦
Oddly enough, I am a bit of an iSheep myself (in a way) but I never defended Apple or iPhone as if it's my father's company...😜😂
