Yes, I think you are good to go. R15 was required for 5G at the beginning of the TMobile 5G rollout, Then, TMobile made one old sim (I think it is TM9260) working on 5G.
The R15 SIM allows access to the 5G SA network. The older SIMs are capable of getting onto just the 5G NSA network. https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...#changeSIM

Oh, I quoted the wrong post....
I am not greedy. I normally uses 1GB data per month. I was just curious about what the unlimited update really is and if it is a better option than my current plan.
And for anyone who is curious, I found the answer from Tmobile website - the limit of hotspot will be your data limit before the update.

They will ship straight to my house. I haven't received them yet.

My guess is location-specific, it just wouldn't make business sense to send a phone for example say east coast all the way to my location.

My beef is the color availability white & red only for my location, for real??

And the Costco kiosk cannot pull from the Costco store inventory.
It has to be shipped per the representative.

Anyone has any different experience?
So basically you went to Costco and ordered the iPhone 12 via EIP from there correct?

Any idea how to get the $30 rebate, will they give a promo form to submit?

How can we know our old SIM is TM9260?
Take a look on the physical SIM, you may find such wording, like R15 or 9260.

If you receive the text today then it's likely too late to drop it now. This happened 2 years ago and I tried dropping my paid unlimited high speed data addon after I got the text. It never got the free upgrade while all my other lines did. I thought 4/7 was the cutoff point but I think when you receive the text is the cutoff point to drop the paid unlimited addon
Just for the record, I got the text too even though I dropped my add-on 4/7 and then had to get them to add the right 4gb free addon a few days later. Seems it will all work out for me, despite the threats to make my whole account intelligible by executive CSR. I'll never email the CEO response team again. Those guys are useless.

Yes. I did nearly 4/5 upgrades recently on A32 and iPhone promos and got the $30 rebate form every single time!

To make the unlock fully official, why not just ask T-Mo to unlock after 40 days (unless you are planning to bail...lol)? I mean I always do it hence asking !

https://www.t-mobile.com/responsi...ock-policy

Unlock eligibility for mobile devices on Postpaid plans

The device must have been active on the T‑Mobile network for at least 40 days on the requesting line.
If the device was financed or leased through T‑Mobile then all payments must be satisfied and the device must be paid in full.
If the device is associated with a canceled account, then the account balance must be zero.
T‑Mobile may request proof of purchase or additional information in its discretion and certain other exceptions may apply.

------------------------------------
So many people ask about this. It should be a sticky.

Awesome, thanks bro. You just have to pay tax upfront correct and there is no shipping or the $20 fee.

I dropped one of the lines in our account that had paid 6gb add-on mobile data after I saw this thread last week. This was way past the original announcement.
Realized I couldn't put the line back to it's original 4gb free data so I contacted Tmobile via App Chat and they supposedly placed the account back to that old 4gb plan. Up to now, the 4gb option is not visible on that account when checking via app or online.

Some of the lines in our account today got the texts for the free unlimited upgrade. I checked the speed on that specific line and seems like it's running on 2G speed even if it's showing LTE signal.

Anybody has this issue too? Should I try T-force via Twitter or Facebook to try to correct this or is that line screwed from getting the unlimited datapromo?

Yes EIP thru Costco. They gave me a form to submit online for the $30 Costco Cash Card.

Now am I the only one waiting for Costco to restock their warehouse, what gives?? Confused

I believe you're of out luck. Presumably you must cancel the order and submit a new one to accomplish what you want but chat with T-Mobile and confirm.

What's the code to reset network for T-Mobile?

I'm from Sprint and used to use ##25327# but now it won't work with T-Mobile sim. Same with ##UPDATE#
