This is true 100%

I had a back up tracfone, loaded for a years service that I kept in my car. Didn't use it for months and when I actually needed it, guess what it was deactivated. I called CS and they told me if the phone isn't being used on a semi regular basis they deactivate it. I told them this was AN EMERGEMCY PHONE THAT I PREPAID FOR A YEARS SERVICE and their reply was "sorry sir, that's our policy."

Good morning oregon14
What advice can you give to mkm85? I tried to help , what would you advise him to do.
Sounds like it's already gone too far, swapping sims incorrectly causes a mess. I always use a $1 BYOP sim kit & re-register the IMEI to the new phone, after rebooting the number switches over. This was between TF brands (I've switched & had no issues), biggest mistake may have been using support instead of doing it himself online. Somebody screwed up somewhere.

I stacked this on my current TF VZ plan and the expiration date does extend. However when login to my account, I noticed my locked phone IMEI (Moto g power bundled with 1yr plan) account becomes inactive. Am I going to have problem next year when I want to unlock my phone?
If your Moto shows as inactive you will need to reactivate with original sim for 12 months to unlock.
You moved your line to the new preloaded sim which is a BYOP sim & it will not unlock a bundled TF.
If you can reactivate the Moto (choose keep current number) & move plan back to original sim then you should be OK but it will start the year over from new activation date.

Thanks. Now I have bundled Moto/bundled sim/unlocked pixel/new sim. So how to reactivate my Bundled Moto so I can unlocked it later?

Your account shows Moto as inactive on bottom of account page so click option to reactivate & choose keep current number. Select the number of current line (your Pixel) & plan will move & reactivate the Moto sim - Pixel sim will then become inactive. Make sense?

I'm with verizon sim and no wifi calling. This was the HSN special. Just throwing in a data point for you.

Has nothing to do with HSN bundle or the Moto itself - it's Tracfone/Verizon that's the problem. TF did have wifi calling with their T-Mo sim when I tried it last year.

EDIT - just checked both TF 2020 Moto G Power & TF LG Reflect with Verizon - could set up wifi calling once I entered 911 info address.
TF changed something.

When I went to tracfone site, and add refill airtime, I opened the part where it gives you option to add to current phone number, but underneath it showed about 10 serial numbers of my other sims I have connected to tracfone over the years that are not currently active.

What is the experience of you guys on that, could I have picked any of those old sims and put the year on that old sim card? I usually always just choose the active phone number to put the plan on. I did save all my past sims, but I thought once they are deactived they couldn't be used again. But can they? Some of them are t-mobile sims from tracfone.

What the HELL are you doing? Smilie
tracfone has a number of different brands they put on their phones, safelink, total wireless, tracfone, etc, and each brand has a different website where you activate the new service. So you should have 2 active sims , one from total wireless and one from tracfone.

I myself have 2 different tracfone branded devices (skype and tracfone) , each has seperate phone number , and it works for me. 2 sims each with it's own phone number.

I can put these 2 active sims in any locked tracfone , which I do all the time and they work great.

Now, if you contacted tracfone and wanted the total wireless sim to be changed to regular tracfone sim, you could screw everything up. So, at first you had one service plan with tracfone and you saw that sim worked on other locked tracfones, no problems. Then you added a different branded sim card and wanted new number , so you have 2 numbers. Maybe go through your sims to find the IMEI number that is tied to each phone number.

Good luck. Let us know what happens with your situation. I'm sure your post helps others that plan to mix and match different branded tracfone services to go slow and seperate the 2 active sims.

As Oregon14 mentioned, I guess the activation is totally messed up.
Today, I spend the whole day by contact several CS agents(via chat and callback from a HIGHER dept[The high dep agent did exactly the same thing as chat agents did. Nothing special.]),
but still, the problem is not resolved:
Tracfone.com shows my number, but my Tracfone smartphone(Galaxy S9) cannot receive or make call.
Totalwireless.com assigned a new phone number, but when I make call using TotalWirelss phone(iPhone), my Tracfone number displays as caller ID. Data works, but cannot receive call and txt.
Something messed-up between two.

I tried many MVNO companies(RedPocket, Ting, Tello, Mint, etc) and activated SIM cards a bunch of times.
Never had this kind of weird issue.

Now, I am just trying to save my old Tracfone phone number.
Looking for another MVNO company to port out my Tracfone phone number.
It is a system error, so not sure port-out will be done successfully or not.

I hope everyone has no issue as I had.

I bought 4 during the 20$ eBay deal. My two AT&T worked fine but the two Verizon didn't and eventually I got refunded but it was a hassle that took over a month.
