There are times to be frugal, but this is not one of those items. Just for the sake of discussion, none of the medical field people (doctors, nurses, etc) reuse a n95 or shitty ones like these. These people have been using mask for ages since it was invented. COVID fallout was only around 2 years. So... you tell me.

No matter the quality of the material itself, if air can get around the edges, you are moving air in/out which may have viral particles.
The reason N95 or N99 mask work well is not only due to the material used but the FIT around the perimeter of the mask.
These cloth and this surgical mask DO NOT seal well on the perimeter and is only recommended by CDC as it is Better than Nothing. The material itself is not as good and the seal is bad. But they do help reduce spread by catching your exhalation breathe from mouth/nose.
To get a good seal, the straps need to be the type which go around the head NOT the ear loops. Ear loops do not provide enough anchoring force to form a proper fit. Properly loops, seal, and material WILL protect properly against particles.
As stated before, the vaccines out are not 100% effective nor proven to guard against all variants. The effectiveness of the vaccines is derived statistically. The control groups used to state and back up effectiveness % do make certain assumptions about certain population.
No one is being given the vaccine, and then the virus given to them directly to directly assess effectiveness.
With all that said, it's probably not a bad idea to stock up on properly SEALING masks during summer and expect cases to go up again towards winter.
