PS: very sad I didn't save the AMEX Dell offer for the $100 statement credit, when I saw it I just thought how would I spend $500 on dell.com. Lesson learnt anyway, save it regardless whether I am gonna use it or not.
Acer all the way. I had a new Acer Aspire 5 and I sold it, I miss it so much! I had an HP and it was absolute garbage----do not buy the HP you listed. The Acer has a black keyboard and the Dell appears to have a silver keyboard---silver is almost impossible to see in some lighting. The Acer has an awesome processor that is quick and quiet. Plus it's the cheapest of the 3 you listed.

slickCL11, are you sure that the SF314-42-R7LH model has a second NVMe slot? The internal pictures and upgrade guides I've found online only show the single SSD slot. Unfortunately the service guide isn't publicly available.

I have the Lenovo Ideapad 5, Ryzen 7 4700u. 8 gb soldered ram. 256 gb nvme ssd, upgraded in 2nd slot a 512 gb. Price was $509 refurbished from Walmart. I can game and do any heavy processing tasks. It is an amazing machine. Unfortunately it's sold out at Walmart.

My apologies. Realized that the model I bought is the intel I5-1035G1 version (SP314-54N-58Q7) which does have a second NVMe slot. It's "hidden" towards the right side of the mainboard, you can barely see it. I wouldn't be surprised if this Ryzen model has the slot as well, but cannot attest to it.

Excellent machine by the way either version.

I've got mine, so far everything looks great.
Just one small thing, which is different than the link when we placed the order.
In the link for order placement https://store.acer.com/en-us/swif...14-42-r7lh , the keyboard is black and most of the ports (HDMI, etc) are on the right side
The actual one I got is https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/con....HSEAA.002 , silver keyboard and HDMI ports on left. not a big deal though, just want to keep SDers updated.

So you're saying they sent you a silver keyboard even though it shows black on the sales page?? That is bad. I'd contact them if I were you...

I think I am just going to stay with it. Here is the reply I got from Acer "Thank you for taking the time to contact the Acer Store. We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the laptop only comes in the one color, Slate grey. If you would like to return the product, please let us know."
