Great TV, great price, thumbs up.

Obligatory consumer information:

Currently this TV does not do 4K120 (instead it does 3840x1080 and then upscales) and Sony is being deliberate unclear whether it ever will. So if that specific feature is important to you, caution.
Costco specs say 4 x HDMI 2.1 ports. In reality it only has two, and one of them is also eARC. So if you want to connect eARC audio, and an XBOX, and a PS5; you'll be a port short.

Only regret I have is not spending the extra $400 to get this instead of the 75". Best TV I've ever owned all across the board

Also this price at Best buy, but highly recommend you just spend the $60 on a Costco membership for the warranty.

I have the 75" and love it, wish I would have gotten the 85" though for how large my living room is.

Yea thats a big difference. How is the X900's reflection handling? I have a giant window behind the sofa that creates direct glare.
There's no anti-reflection coating on this model. It does not handle reflections well at all. Dark content during the day will be unwatchable unless you have blackout shades on the opposing window.

I'm poor so there's that. That's a lot of $ for a tv. I guess if you use it more than a couple hours a day you could get some entertainment value for your dollar. I realize everyone isnt poor either, and congrats on that. Advance apology for people who are sensitive and buy expensive TVs. I can't second guess anyone's consumer or financial choices. I sure would hate to spend my whole stimulus on a tv or have a tv payment but I'm probably weird. Having money in the bank keeps me from getting financial assistance sometimes so I guess I should buy a $3000 tv and couple buckets of crack lol.
At least you got a stimulus :p

Watch in family room with sliding door to the side and windows behind my chair. No issues really.

Up to you on what you define as a "bit" more! If $1000 more for a little smaller screen for extremely impressive video quality is worth it, then by all means.

Not sure about a current deal on the 75", I got mine a while ago. I sit about 15' from my tv, which is fine for movies & TV watching. The only time it bugs me is when I am playing games on the Playstation, most of the menus/words are a little too small with that distance.

I suppose the handling of reflections is subjective? I've owned both the Q80T and X900H. One of the things the Samsung did noticeably better was handle reflections, but the trade-off was that the coating on the panel created a strange rainbow effect if the light hit it a certain way. The X900H panel doesn't have anything on it to diffuse reflections, so my guess is that you're watching mostly bright content and haven't noticed the giant mirror in front of you yet.

How do we confirm on warranty period ? Once TV is delivered, do we need to call sony to see if we have 7 years warranty on the TV ( purchased with citi costco card)
Why would you call Sony about Costco coverage? It might be a Sony warranty, but I'm betting nobody you get on the phone at Sony is gonna know squat about the Costco situation. Call Costco if you need validation.

Geez, the guy just said this tv is a bit much for him and you quoted him right after bragging about it.

I have the 75in and as much as I love the TV, Sony pulled a bait and switch on the 4k120 capability here. They sold this TV as 4k120-ready ("just wait for a firmware update!") and they've reneged on this commitment. I really like Sony products generally but this kind of BS really shouldn't be rewarded.

Edit: Wow just checked Amazon and they are STILL listing it as 4k 120hz capable. Just wow:

HDMI 2.1: Get the most out of your next-gen gaming console with the latest HDMI 2.1 standards featuring ALLM, VRR and 4K at 120fps for reduced input lag, increased frame rate and ultra-smooth motion. (Firmware update required, available Winter 2020 and Spring 2021.)

I've been debating between this TV or a UST projector and 100" screen which is about 4k. I have a costco citi card and $169 rewards certificate, I think I may have to pull the trigger.

Has anyone ever had to use costcos warranty service? good or bad experience?
A little late, but I've gone back and forth with the extended warranty I purchased for a Vizio tv. Each time I call in, they have me factory reset the tv as the solution and pretty much refuse to replace it. They're just waiting for the warranty to end. Been a pretty big pain in the ass.
