Or for the $1200 difference, I can actually find something similar?
Currently have a JBL Cinema 610 Advanced 5.1 Speaker System + Yamaha TSR-7850 7.2-Channel Network AV Receiver, and plan to use the 280FA to replace the front two first...

But...I would find it surprising that RF ranks above RP... based on the wimpy center speaker that is part of the RF line.
It's dwarfed by several of the RP centers.
I don't believe any of the speakers with "Reference" in the name are made in America.
To my knowledge, the only speakers made in Arkansas is the "Heritage" line (Klipschorn, LaScala, Cornwall, etc.)

BUILT IN HOPE, AR
The Reference RF-7 II speaker holds a special place in our heart, as it is made by hand in Hope, Arkansas alongside the Reference RC-64 II center channel as well as Klipsch Heritage Series speakers and many of the Klipsch Professional speakers.
The RF-7 III and RC-64 III are matching top-of-the-range speakers, the is no matching bookshelf speaker in Klipsch's current lineup, but the RP-600M comes closest to filling that role. The RC-62 II is part of Klipsch's current entry level line and has no right being paired with the RF-7. The RB-41, RB-51, RB-61, RB-81 have been discontinued for awhile, got replaced version II's, which in turn got replaced by the Reference Premier RP-140M, RP-150M, RP-160M bookshelf speakers (the RB-81 II never got a direct replacement), which have also since been discontinued and replaced by the current top of the range bookshelf models RP-400M, RP-500M, RP-600M.
