This game had a rocky launch on PC, but past deal threads indicate those issues have been largely fixed. I am looking forward to running this at 60+ FPS on PC compared to the locked 30fps on console. It's a great game either way!

Yeah, sounds like the game is still 30 fps on ps5. I have the game on playstation but can't decide if it's worth pulling the trigger for that high frame rate :/

It is more than likely that the game will remain 30 FPS in its current format. When the new game is released on PS5, there will likely be a "complete" or "ultimate" edition that includes the first game at 60 FPS. Just my guess.
This is how they treated Miles Morales on PS5. You could play the 30fps ps4 version of the first Spider-Man game, or you needed to buy the
PS5 ultimate edition for a copy of that 60fps version of the first Spider-Man game. It's also similar to how Sony are treating the FF7 remake, having given out the PS4 version for free recently, but players will have to pay for the upgraded ps5 version later on.

after the 9th patch everything is good. I run it at 1440p 120fps on my pc. Using a 6800xt + ryzen 5900x. Its worth it if you have hardware to push it. 30fps sucks.

I have a 3080, ryzen 3700x and 32gb ram. Think that would push at the same quality?

But if you have a PS5 and the PS4 disc version, it's a free upgrade to the PS5 version...
