QVC [qvc.com] has the Calphalon Quartz Heat Countertop Oven (a convection toaster oven) for $98.87 + $7.50 S&H. First time buyers can use this coupon for $10 off your first order of $25+: FRIEND.

This is model TSCLTRDG1 and is listed on the Calphalon website [calphalon.com] for $209.99. It has 4.5 stars on Amazon [amazon.com], where it's currently listed at effectively $179 ($199 + 10% coupon). Costco sells a slightly different model for $180 advertised as "Toaster Oven with Air Fry," which appears to be this same unit with an "air fry" setting.

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

people, convection oven is a bigger air fryer.

people paying $50-60 bucks for an airfryer. spend a little more for an all in one like this that does way more
The added air fry setting in the Costco model is probably just marketing. A convection oven is essentially the same thing as an air fryer.
i own this unit so i know it will air fry

How does this one compared with the Emerald best buy air fryer oven that is also listed on slickdeals? Just bought the Emerald yesterday.

only thing I don't like - you have to wait around to hit start button again after preheating. If I walk away and forget, the oven gets cold.
Mine hasn't arrived yet, so I can't say from first hand experience, but I've read some customer feedback [amazon.com] saying that you can just push the start button twice in a row and it'll skip the pre-heat. Would love to know if you're able to confirm that. Otherwise, if I remember, I'll try to report back on this once mine arrives. Smilie

Yes, I do that but mess up the cooking time since most of them require preheating. Enjoy!

Bought this at $160 in December on sale. Great deal at $106. Works good enough as a toaster and small convection oven and can fit pizzas and looks super nice on the counter.

How's the size of this toaster oven? Based on the measurements it seems really tall and wide. Will it take up most of counter space?

Well seems useless to explain to people. Air fryer is a convectional oven with larger fan which cooks and circulates air much faster. If it does not have the air fryer option, the oven does not consist of a higher powered fan which will allow for this "air frying" method. Simply put if you throw frozen fries into an oven it would not be as crispy as an oven when you activate the "air fry" mode. Anyways, some people who actually own air fryers actually know the difference and has vouched. This will be my last post about this. Have a great day everyone. If you need more proof simply check youtube and search air fryer vs convectional oven. And yes, you typically do not want to buy a standalone air fryer. You want a conventional oven WITH air fryer feature.
Oh come on salty poster, we all loved seeing your desperate attempts to make the term "air-fry" anything more than a marketing term for a sup'd-up convection oven. If you were intellectually honest, you'd realize that to most people, there's no difference.

Appliance 1 makes thing hot + fan = convection oven
Appliance 2 makes thing hot + more fan = air fryer

Now the appliance manufacturers can sell you suckers a second appliance! Stop buying the hype drizzle

Thanks, tips like these are underated

You can press the start button twice, only thing is it starts the timer right then, so add extra time for the preheating phase

I assume the oven reads out when it's heating and when it's reached temp. What I plan on doing is following your method and just walking away for a few minutes to do other things and then return to a heated oven. I will then set a timer after I put the food in. I will have to see how this oven operates compared to my breville, I suspect it will take some tinkering with temps and time, just as it has been with my breviile.

Spoken like someone who never used an air fryer in his life. I have a breville convectional oven with airfryer. It can make crispy hash browns at a level where my old convectional oven couldn't even come close to. Why are you making conclusions when you haven't even had experience? You specifically pointed out the difference yet still in denial.

Seems to me the winner of these type arguments are magically the ones supporting immediate sale of the posted item.
Whenever someone points out anything that is detrimental to the product (i.e. sales), all these no-rep people come out of woodwork.

I think we can all agree the industry and it's stupid marketing terms has made it for a very confusing experience when purchasing this type of appliance (IE: airfry, convection, etc.).

If you are in the market for an amazing "airfryer" toaster oven then I HIGHLY recommend the Cusine Art TAO-65 or the significantly cheaper Costco version (same device that is slightly smaller). We swapped from an expensive Breville and have been incredibly pleased. I've never seen a device toast bread and bagels so perfectly. It also cooks frozen salmon perfectly and you can do truly dehydrate food and are not limited to 4 hours like this model.

Isn't the fan velocity in a air fryer quite a bit higher than in a typical convection toaster oven.

It comes with the air fryer basket. Does this mean it will air fry?
