Amazon sells the same thing, but this is about $5 less than Amazon, as Amazon (according to 3Camel never lowers the price from about $33). It's also a Top Seller on B&H, as well.

EDIT --- After posting this, looks like Amazon may have reduced the price to the same price as B&H. So, here's the Amazon Link to the same deal. [amazon.com]

Key Features
Rechargeable up to 500x
Pre-Charged, Ready to Use
Holds 85% of Charge for 1 Year
No Memory Effect

This pack of Eneloop Pro AA Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries from Panasonic comes with a charger, and four pre-charged and ready-to-use batteries. They are not subject to any memory effect so you can charge them up to 500 times whether they are fully or partially drained. They maintain 85% of their charge after one year, and remain functional down to -4°F.

Bought 12 AA from IKEA last year, used three times, junk. They don't hold charge at all, need to recharge them right before action all the time. Waste of money, but 15 years old eneloops are still running.
That is a bit hard to believe. Were you fast charging them or something? Or perhaps you got some faulty ones. I just bought some AA Laddas a couple weeks ago. I didn't realize it until I got them home, but it turns out they are old stock (made in late 2018). Out of curiosity I put them on my smart charger this morning to see how much charge they still had in them (straight out of the package). They all had a charge between 1641mA and 1696mA. So these 28 months old batteries still had between 67-69% charge which seems pretty decent to me.

I bought them in store. Who knows how long they were there, but day after charging they don't have enough power to run even soap dispenser. Too bad I threw the packaging.away.

That's a bummer for you! When I noticed the old date code on mine I kept the packaging. I got some AAAs last fall and didn't notice the old date code on them until I had bought these AAs (and noticed it on them).

Did you already get rid of them? With a little effort I believe you might be able to get them operating correctly. I will explain if you still have them.

If you have a smart charger, then try discharging them and recharging them at 300mA (give or take) several times to recondition them. Some smart chargers have Test, Repair, or Recondition functions that can make this task a bit easier. If you don't have a smart charger then let me know what charger(s) you do have and I suspect we can figure out another way. Also what is the date code on them? It is stamped on the batteries and pretty hard to see unless you are really looking for it (or if your eyesight is getting as bad as mine it can still be pretty hard to see). I suspect you might have gotten some old cells like I did. One of my sets still had a good charge in them, but when I tested another set yesterday 3 of the 4 batteries initially tested pretty low (less 1000 mA) so that got me thinking about what you experienced.

That is supposed to be a good charger, but it's only a charger. Frown I am thinking if you have an LED flashlight that runs on just 1 (or maybe 2) AA cells that it could be used to safely discharge them. With flashlight running off less than 3 cells means it has a circuit stepping up the voltage so it should have some kind of cut-off when the battery gets too low. So run all the cells down with the flashlight then charge them with your Nitecore. Does it tell you how many mAs it gets into each cell when it charges them? If so you can do the process until the batteries get close to the advertised capacity of 2450mA. I suspect with a little conditioning the cells will start performing like they should. One caveat, I myself have not attempted this method of discharge (because I have a smart charger that do it better/easier) so proceed at your own risk. Smilie That said, if the batteries are as bad as you said you don't have much to lose really.

Cool...please do report back how it goes. Just curious, what model flashlight(s) do you plan to use to drain them? Good luck!
