I bought the Pixel 3 last night.

I didn't see this listed but want to verify for anyone who already received the Pixel 3 from Woot. Does it come with the USB to USB-C adapter?
Yes, it came with a USB-A to C cable and a cheap 5V/1A generic charger.

Thanks, I just ordered the XL 64gb new from Amazon for $185. I shot with a Sony A7R3. It's going to be painful but I'm going to try it out. Upload my A7R3 photos to the Pixel and then uplooad to Google Photo with original quality.
Just make sure it supports whatever RAW format it uses, I remember reading that some newer format is not supported but I don't know if it's still true.

I honestly wouldn't worry about updates on a $100 phone. You're going to get Android 12 at the end of the year. Most Android phones only get one update anyways and even the flagships like the S21 won't see Android 13 for probably another 2 years. You'll be ready for a new phone well before Android 13 becomes a necessity.

At this point, Android is pretty established, so most of these full version updates are purely vanity updates.

What is more of an issue is security. Without security updates and kernel patches, you run the risk of your whole world crumbling.

If your phone is compromised, there's way too much that can be accessed.

I'd also keep checking Amazon warehouse. I just ordered a black 128gb version for $125. Listed as very good in damaged original packaging so probably just a new item with damaged packaging or a new return. Easy returns if not.

Did this deal a month or so ago to replace an ageing Moto E4. Phone came with two issues: USB-C cable did not work (not a big deal of course) and camera has stabilization/focusing issues (more of a big deal). W00T gave me $25 for the non functioning USB C cable which was generous but would only refund (returning phone at my expense), not replace the phone which would leave me without a functioning phone. I decided the camera issue wasn't bad enough because I love the phone otherwise, but just a warning that it's the luck of the draw with these deals (and you will need to pay for a refund). Also this version is the Verizon version which means the bootloader is locked AND eSIM capability is not there. For $100 though it's may be worth it to some.

Just because the phone loses updates does not mean it stops functioning. Most phones from other manufacturers rarely get updates after the first year, and some never do.
Not a good deal. You can get Pixel 4 for $220 on ebay in good condition. You get updates AND much better hardware. No brainer.

Just an FYI, this is probably the last actual premium phone google has put out. The screen resolution, along with actual specs are superior to the latest models. I mean, unless you NEED 5G lte, which honestly, in my area is lacking.

Can someone explain how to determine boot loader locked VZ version or not?
Any link to a pixel 2 or 2XL that is boot loader unlocked?

Heads up, my pixel 3's screen started flashing green right outside of warranty and google wouldn't do anything to fix it. It's a flaw that occurs with this model.

There's always GrapheneOS.
Not if it's a Verizon-branded Pixel. Anything Verizon-branded has to have a locked bootloader, just FYI.

how can you tell which version this is?
They all have the same bands regardless if originally sold by Verizon, Att, etc.

Heads up: long time google pixel user, and the 3 XL I have has been questionable.
The last 2 replacements, from google, charged only on pixel wireless stands, have had the battery inflate and push the back off the phone. This is one step from exploding/ chemical fire.

I would NOT trust pixel 3's at this point.
