Also, remember to check you local grant and incentive programs. In my area, San Joaquin Valley, CA, any battery powered trimmer over $100 you can submit for a $50 rebate. Worth researching. You can easily sell the battery for a quick $50 which makes this a great deal.

Recently purchased this model on a previous deal with a free battery. While priced well, I'm going to keep the battery and sell the trimmer. It's horribly balanced, very heavy on the front end even with a battery in place, and has zero flexibility on the angle of the grip due to the shape of the shaft. I've got a snapper with 60v batteries that is much easier to use so I'm holding on to that until I can find a good set of outdoor tools with a battery design that'll last a few years.

Just my two cents as I know others really love this model.

Crap... don't need too good of a deal not to. Blower is what got me for sure... dewalt blower I have works but sometimes wonder if it's on it's last leg and having a trimmer that folds will be nice as well.

I don't have the folding model, but I understand what you mean. I use the heavier 6ah battery now, and moved the handle forward and that helps a lot. Love mine!! My heavy Stihl trimmer has remained in it rack since I bought this.

After studying the picture, the handle on the folding model may not move forward as far as the regular non-folding model I have.
