Also, remember to check you local grant and incentive programs. In my area, San Joaquin Valley, CA, any battery powered trimmer over $100 you can submit for a $50 rebate. Worth researching. All kinds of offers for lawn mowers, edgers, chainsaws.. have worked for me! http://valleyair.org/grants/cgym.htm

No, and the hinge makes it difficult to place the handle, I ended up going in front of the hinge with the handle backwards. Another annoying thing is the shaft not being round, if you want to use a sling like I do. For one, there are no real options (please tell me if I am wrong). I bought the generic strap Lowes sells for $7 because the bracket does work but then realized every time I flip it around I am turning the mount upside down and then lose like 1.5-2 inches of strap because the bracket does not spin like most round ones will. Ended up just wrapping some Velcro around it so it can move. I would love a better solution if anyone has any ideas. As a trimmer, it works really well IMO. I previously had a 40v Poulan, works just as well as that one though quite a bit less ergonomical IMO. The sell it as being easy to transport, but how many of us are transporting weed eaters in a trunk? I feel like it saves them on shipping more than it helps us.

Anyone use this trimmer for edging walkways and driveways? I use a gas powered Echo now that uses .095 line. Just read that this only takes .08. I'm concerned I'm going to eat through line like crazy.
