I have a cx, and had 2 OLEDs beforehand. Not once did I ever get burn in. Don't watch cable news (seriously that shit will burn out your brain, not just burn in your panel with the ticker). I game a lot and never had any interface elements burn in, either in hdr or non hdr gaming - the automatic screen shifting tech seems pretty effective. Picture quality is amazing. If you've got the money saved up these are the best TVs out there.
When you live in Bay Area and can afford the tv, but can't afford to move into apartment big enough to fit it, sigh.
There is also a free LG Xboom speaker offer too ( https://lgtvpromotion.com/ ) on top of the other inclusions already listed.

I was about to pull the trigger on the CX but then I saw this model has the game optimizer extra menu. Anybody have any ideas if CX has similar settings?

Am thinking that prices should drop by black Friday. This is a good deal only if you have to get the TV now.
The same thing was said last year, and the year before, and before. When there's more OLED players on the market, and materials get cheaper, they will go down. They'll eventually be one of the main standards (kind of already area).

I can't wait till I finally upgrade. I'm currently using a 55" LG LCD 1080p from 2013 (I forget the model but it was really cheap, bought refurbished in 2014). It's not particularly nice, even for 2014, as it has a lot of ghosting issues and the picture isn't very crisp. It's literally my only tv though, so I have nothing to compare it to which makes it seem more ok than it is. No issues or noticeable quality drop since I bought it though.

I'd like to upgrade to a 77" 4k OLED, but i'm hesitant about the burn in. I've been eyeing LG's C models for a year now. I will happily pay 3k+ for a tv that will last. But will one of these TVs last a decade (or a last 5+ years)? Google results always give me mixed signals and was wondering what your guy's opinions on them were.

Wow, they started offers pretty quickly on these. Sam's/Costco don't even have them on their website yet.
