So close to pulling the trigger but cant' quite commit. The price does almost make up for the addition of the 4 year warranty for $62.

Update: Pulled the trigger, as much as I want OLED, it's not practical for my situation so hopefully this will work out.

Amazing that the 2021 Samsung Q80A --at $1300 for the same size, scored significantly below this year-old TV from Hisense at 50% of the cost. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...-q80a-qled

Really? That's an unpopular (though not necessarily wrong) opinion. You don't find the objective measurements they post helpful when evaluating sets?

Without suggesting a "better" alternative, your four word post is toopid.

What do you mean. People cite RTINGS in 4 word posts all the time without explaining why it relevant or why their opinions should be trusted as gospel truth.

I never said that the site does not contain useful information. Just because you say something is overated doesn't mean your saying its complete garbage. Whats up with reading comprehension these days.

Because you don't highly favor something your are automatically calling it trash I guess. RTINGS is overrated. Its cited on forums all the time by people who have never actually seen these TV's in person. The technical specifications they post are quite useful and presumably accurate information but their "reviews" and scores are just as biased and subjective as any other for profit business selling reviews.

Opinion noted.

For the record, you still haven't offered up another source for the information and tests.

Hisense TVs do not go on sale like TCL ones do. The H9F never had a significant price drop, I doubt this will either.

Speaking of the H9F, this newest model also does not output 120 frames for gaming. Biggest reason why I did not end up getting one.

I had this set but had to return it. It does have a very good picture, but unfortunately all of the H9G's have a red ghosting issue on a lot of different scenes/content. Its in a lot of scenes with certain lighting/motion. When it happens, it is pretty much unwatchable. Hisense is aware of the issue but there is no fix for it.
Google "H9G red ghost" to see what I am talking about. Buyer beware. If it were not for this problem, this set would be awesome.

Don't just judge the overall score on Rtings as they use test patterns which are and in FACT different than real world content which they mention in *notes themselves

I can tell you 100% Fact , Q80A is a much better tv, heck the Q70A is a much better tv.

I own the Hisense H9G, don't do it........
