I'm honestly curious, what do you need HDMI 2.0 for in a basic off brand 1080p TV?

With that said, I would not expect it to be 2.0.
Bought one for my grandma who I just found out was looking for a bigger TV that wasn't complicated. Only wants to be able to turn it on and off and change the channels and volume. So not being a smart TV was actually a plus in this instance. Perfect timing!

She just sent me a check for $150 to spend on whatever I wanted because she gave her granddaughters the same to buy clothes for their new jobs after graduating college. I told her it was not necessary and she said to spend it on whatever I wanted, so it is coming right back to her because this is what I spent it on.
JVC is an odd company. Top quality projectors, garbage rebadged TVs. Not saying this isn't a deal. Just a strange company.

I purchased one last week, received it in 2 days, and I just returned it today. It's garbage. Don't waste your time. Colors are way off and sound is worse than any other TV I have ever used. Looks cheap and feels cheap.

It's $130 for a 43 inch tv. For the price it's a great tv.

No, it's a garbage TV at any price. A garbage TV is a garbage TV. The price doesn't change it's quality. But thank you for reminding us that it's $130. I couldn't put up with it, the colors were giving me a headache.

I'm looking for a cheap 43" or so tv for a covered back porch. I realize it might not make it more than a couple seasons. I'm not spending $1000+ on an "outdoor tv". I'll probably get one of those $20 vinyl covers for it when not in use. The most important spec, I would think would be brightness. I'd like to stay around $150~ish. We'll mostly watch sports or music videos while grilling/socializing/chilling in the hot tub/etc. Recommendations?? I need it for this summer so I can't wait for Black Friday sales. Lol.
For what it's worth, I've got 3 TVs outside under cover that have been going strong for years. Carpenter Bees set up nests in all of the screwholes, but other than that, no problems.

What are your other displays in your home for reference? I've got 2 LG oleds and a BenQ projector. I'll be getting my garbage tv today. I'll post my opinion on its picture.

I don't disagree that it's cheap and feels cheap. But most of us knew that going into it. I wasn't expecting it to be anymore than a TV to replace a cheap 32" Emerson we had in the garage. I did tweak the colors/picture as they were too vibrant out of the box. As far as sound quality goes, I wasn't expecting much. It's pretty loud which is great for my use, but don't expect bass or any decent sound quality for sure.

I personally wouldn't use this as a main TV, but there's a market for cheap TVs and I wouldn't yuck someone's yum for doing so either.

Got the tv. Tape on bottom seam of box was ripped and flaps were halfway open. No damage to box but it must've had a rough trip from China. Got it set up. No visible damage. I noticed some flickering in the picture on hdmi #1. Switched cable to hdmi #2. Same flickering. I popped off about 8-9 screws on the plastic covering the single circuit board on the back. I reseated about 8-10 cables and tightened the screws holding the board down. A couple seemed loose. I've received brand new electronics in the past that had connectors etc become loose during transit. Powered it back on no more flickering. Left it running a few hours playing Netflix. No issues. I left it on "user" picture setting. I turned sharpness down to 0 from 50 and reduced color to 45 from 50. Color temp set to warm. Picture looks fine. I heard audio coming from the speakers but since I'm putting this on the back porch and running audio to my Klipsch outdoor speakers, tv speaker audio quality is irrelevant. Seems like a fine tv for my purposes for $130. I'll be mounting it to a brick wall with tapcon screws using a $7 wall mount (total cost!) from monoprice that I received in 2 days from the sale posted in another thread.

We got the 32" version of this TV and had the same issue with our Roku remote... Could get vol+- to work, but not the power button. Returned that one and ordered this one, but I expect the same result. Cheap TV for my wife's office (essentially just for background noise) so not too big a deal for us, but still somewhat annoying.

Does not matter as it's 1080p
It actually would matter if not a 60hz panel. The Xbox series S supports VRR and can do 120hz @ up to 1440

Mine was originally supposed to arrive today, but they haven't actually shipped it yet. FedEx says label created, but that's it. Walmart currently shows an ETA of next Tuesday, but who knows when they'll actually ship it. I'm going out of town for a week and a half next Wednesday, sure hope it's arrived by then...

I got the tv today, the day it originally said it would arrive. I like it fine for my camper. Picture looks good to me (but I am by no means a tv snob. They all look good to me) The sound is awful but I'm using a sound bar so no issue. Great deal.

Got the TV the other day and have been tweaking it with my Xbox One X. First impressions are positive overall. The bezel doesn't look as thick as I was fearing and isn't obtrusive. The quality of the picture out of the box is a bit off, but with some tweaking I think I've been able to dial in a pretty decent image. No lag as far as I can tell. Overall I would definitely say this TV is worth the $130. Can't speak to the speakers as I immediately attached it to a soundbar.

Find a fix? I've been stuck on the same issues for a few days. Found that I can control the volume after the second run of JVC codes from the Fire TV. I just left it on whatever setting 4/6 was. I'm able to use my Alexa for off/on commands, but not having the button available is feeding my neuroticism.

You can access the Service Mode menu on this by pressing Input on the remote and then 2 5 8 0 (straight line down the middle). That will give you more options for tweaking the display and such.
