Anyone here using NetTalk? I'm still struggling to find an excuse to move to Obi (with the exception of $50 yearly plan fee). Is there any reason to switch?

It works outside the US but for GV you would need to activate GV numbers in the US before. You can also use it with other SIP providers, e.g. CallWithUs etc.

$120 MSRP is ridiculous. Have there been any firmware updates in the last 3 years for this? I have been using Obi since the 100 as well and still have an old 202 working here. I doubt there is anything new inside other than now black plastic and Polycom logo and GV logo outside.

This looks interesting. I'm running a magic jack for my fax. My current doctor still uses fax and prefers information sent him via fax till this day.

Been using an Obi with GV as my "house" phone for 3-4 years now - although 90% spam calls, 10% my mom. My 90yo mom's home phone, too. Love GV!

Was waiting on my MJ to expire and do this, do I need to port my landline # to a cell before I can port to GV? Any recommended resources for this? Thx.

I believe so, unless things have changed. I ported to a t-mobile prepay, and then to GV.

I have one of these and I have been trying to activate it for a month. I have two support tickets open and all they will tell me is "the servers are busy, keep trying"
Their support is non existent. The products no longer work like they used to.

You can also have Google Voice generate a new phone number for free and use that with this device. I did that.

Obihai's are great. We use this wired into our home for a home phone. It blocks a good bit of spam calls but random stuff still makes it through. Love the VM as text emails thanks to Google Voice.

I absolutely love my Obitalk 200 for my home phone line. Free home phone service and great options with Google Voice. All I had to do port my my 10 yr old phone # over to Google for $20. I give it 5 stars!

I have a Nettalk duo wifi and my ex-landline is on the Obi with GV. I have less problems with GV and Obi and less cost. Else, both are good.

Why is this getting expensive? The same used to get on sale for less than 30.
