10/10 would buy again. I've used it once.
I jumped on the $299 for the string trimmer + hedge trimmer attachment deal that came with a rapid charger and 8.0 Ah battery (https://slickdeals.net/f/14950253-milwaukee-m18-string-trimmer-hedge-trimmer-8-0ah-battery-charger-299-99) because I primarily needed those two attachments, and need more batteries anyway (I heard these outdoor tools eat up battery power like no tomorrow). I'll have to sell the charger (or it isn't a big deal to have a spare) and that's easier that selling off attachments, IMO.
The string trimmer + edger attachment version of the same $299 deal made it to the FP too (https://slickdeals.net/f/14945429-milwaukee-m18-fuel-18v-string-trimmer-w-edger-attachment-8-0ah-battery-303-more-free-shipping).
Milwuakee might be pushing harder on promotions for their outdoor power equipment (OPE) now that summer is rolling around.

Anyone else experience the constant overheating with their quiklok stuff?
9ah not really ideal I think. Those are HD batteries, making them 18650 packs. The 8ah HO pack is 21700 cells and better suited for outdoor tools (same guts as the 12.0 with 1 less row of batt cells).
Did your quicklok set come with 9.0s? I know the batteries are universal (I mean that's the point of m18 right?), but some tools work better with the right battery.
Also might want to check to see if those 9.0s are still under warranty. I've got a feeling they're older, 'overheating' early is a clear sign.

You just keep an eye out for the combo you want if that's what you're looking for. It seems they put some of their tools on sale almost every week lately.

I agree!. I bought the string trimmer and hedge trimmer on last sale. Wife and I used the hedge trimmer, cleaned up the property, switched to the string trimmer cleaned up the yard. Talk about power, impressed with the string trimmer. All on 12ah battery. 3/4 acre.

If I didn't love milwaukee.. I'd be all over ryobi right now. Been hard not to cheat. The last thing I need though is different colored batteries running around.
My only complaint is that the hedge trimmer can get a tad heavy.
