This cheap-o design isn't as bad as it seems. I've got one that's about three times this size (but same tube frame construction with cheap plastic covering) and it looks brand new after two years. I've left it up through both winters and several storms with 60+ mph winds and it's been fine.

The key with these things is that you really need to go the extra mile to anchor them to the ground or they'll end up in a neighbor's yard. I've got mine secured with 24" anchoring hooks and some thick anchoring rope. I've also got heavy-duty landscape staples securing the bottom tubes to the lawn, and the whole bottom of the structure is buried under a gravel "floor." It's a good idea to spend an extra $20 and buy some shade cloth to cover it through the worst parts of summer to protect the plastic from the sun.

After all that, is it going to last forever or survive a really nasty storm? No, but this thing is $40 and I think I only paid around $80 for mine. These things are cheap, but they work great for seed starting and as cold-frames for extending the season. I've also used mine with the shade cloth over it to grow lettuce and some other cold-weather crops through the summer.

Um, there would be no need for the entire clear structure itself for the purpose you're implying. You'd get the same results from just using the shelves indoors.

I bought the hexagonal one from Amazon years ago. It wasn't too bad. I had to knock the rain water that would collect on the roof. There were a small hole or two (don't know if it came like that or happened after installation.) Some of the metal would rust and the zippers needed to be handled gently. But it held loads of moist inside. When I had to take it down when I moved, I tossed it. All the plants I had inside ended up getting planted or dying (amateur gardener.) When taking it down, that's when I noticed the rust, not a whole lot though. The ribbon used to tie the cover to the poles had become too hard to untie and some even fell apart when I attempted to untie them. I zip-tied the wire shelves to the cross poles, this had them stay on flatter.

TL; DR - Good product if you don't remove it. If you do, cheap enough to replace.
