Google Fi support is the worst.

I got in on a deal previously but changed my mind and returned the phone. It was unopened/unactivated. They refused to refund the sales tax, claiming that taxes and fees are nonrefundable.. I had about 4 or 5 different reps repeat this same line, all of them refusing.

Finally, after filing complaints with my state attorney general, state tax authority, FCC, BBB, and a couple others, they refunded my sales tax.

So there is that.

If I'm buying as an existing customer can I just swap the device or I have to activate a new line ? I bought the Moto G last month but it's damage so now I want to buy new phone to replace it. I see the "buy device" option in my account but I don't know how that work. Thanks in advance.

How do I qualify as an existing Fi customer?
To qualify for the $600 discount, you need to:
Activate the qualifying phone on an existing full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and remain active on Google Fi for 120 consecutive days.
You must activate on the same account used to purchase the phone. If you activate the phone on a new Fi account, you are not eligible for this promotion.
The discounted price will automatically apply during checkout. If you do not meet the conditions above, the discounted amount will be charged to your Google Pay account to match the full price of the phone.

where does it say that you need to keep it for min of 120 days? I thought you needed min of 90 days of service to qualify for promotional price.

Depends on how long you've had the new phone
