Google Fi support is the worst.

I got in on a deal previously but changed my mind and returned the phone. It was unopened/unactivated. They refused to refund the sales tax, claiming that taxes and fees are nonrefundable.. I had about 4 or 5 different reps repeat this same line, all of them refusing.

Finally, after filing complaints with my state attorney general, state tax authority, FCC, BBB, and a couple others, they refunded my sales tax.

So there is that.

Depends on how long you've had the new phone
I haven't even received it yet. Coming tomorrow. But if it's for new customers only, am I still a new customer if I don't activate it? Lol

Seems really cheap. I need two phones for under $500... $600 is close enough.

For folks who are pro at it: what is easy way to get a number to port in. Do not want to port in my existing number and purpose is to just get the phone. Would getting any particular sim card I could buy activate and then port in the next day?

Any suggestions, many thanks.

Catch is everything has to go right. If anything goes wrong their support and absolute garbage and you'll have to deal with whatever that comes with it

How much would additional data cost if I want to use over 10gb of high speed?

I just read about a new unlimited min/text/data plan with Google fi for $30/mo as well. I wonder if that plan would qualify with this deal.

I'm on TracFone Verizon for years and it's been generally great, but more of a hassle than some of these newer unlimited plans for cheap (visible, etc)

Or you could apply to your state treasurer for a consumer sales tax refund; this can be done online now in many states with little more than the documentation from the transaction that you receive from the vendor anyway.

Some vendors adopt the position that they simply collect tax for the State, that they remit everything they collect and that the tax transaction is between you and the state and therefore not their issue to resolve. Technically, that is correct, though it's not a great PR move. It's not common, but it happens.

$30 is for per line for three or more lines. It's like $60 for one line.
