i have this one, very good, been using it for 3 years now.

you guys both use 1 base? so everyday y'all switch out the brush head 4 times?

how has the securing rod been holding up with this removing/clicking on so often?

Toothpaste can accumulate in the gap between the head and the body and make the vibration duller. Make sure to remove the head and clean every few days. Been working fine for 3 years.

Came from an Oral-B after 10+ years to Sonicare about a month ago. It is a different experience for sure. Sometimes when the top of the brush head makes contact with my teeth it can be a bit jarring. I know it won't chip them, but it sure feels like it could. The black version shows dried up toothpaste if you don't wipe it after use. And one thing I dislike is that the handle lacks any kind of grip. Although it's a matte finish plastic, it can be a bit slippery to the touch if your hand. I just bought the Oral-B Pro 1000 bundle for $25 so I may go back to that.

After 20 years using the E series, I bought this. It worked fine for two months then suddenly died. It would just hum without moving. Philips replaced it promptly under warranty, but the new one died after two days. It vibrates slightly, but not enough to clean. I wonder how many new buyers think the slight vibration is normal and effective.
That makes me sad. My brush that is the oldest by a decade. It still works great, just have to keep it charged. I can't keep up with the different models though.

Been using mine for a few months now (bought at best buy). Anyone know where the best/cheapest place is to get replacement heads for the 4100?
I had been getting them on subscribe and save from Amazon. 3 pk for 11 dollars. I'm also looking for good deals on them. I've also found them in clearance at Kroger

Fake like a lot of stuff on Amazon? was thinking of upgrading since a good price, but willing to wait to buy one from another store... have bought terrible quality fake toiletries from them one too many times!

Here's a review and it all comes down to what's more important to you. The best is your routine and the time you put into it.

Got two years out of my Diamond-clean one. Got it replaced under warranty just in time but the new one didn't extend a new warranty. I hear a lot of people say don't expect more than two years out of these things.

I was going to buy one of these for my 8 year old. Then I saw one on the Amazon page that's called "sonicare for kids," anyone have one of those? Seems like it may help my boy figure out the whole brush in quadrant thing, with the app. He has problems with that, and also want to get done brushing as fast as possible... he likes the tablet, so maybe that would be better. Also, the handle looks better for a kid? I don't know.. They both end up be I no the same price.

These brush are not cheap so I definitely expect them to last a long time. Of course that's my expectation. We have the Oral 7000 since Sep 2015 and the Sonicare 2 Series since May 2017.
