Definitely feel like the performance is good for the money. The roller system does a great job and runs from my lower neck to my lower glutes (I'm 6' for reference.) the airbag system is relatively basic but effective once you select higher intensities. The remote is basic but intuitive enough and offers a handful of presets along with manual and custom settings. My two complaints are relatively minor. The first is the counter weight on the extendable leg section being a little too strong (meaning I have to actively push down lightly to keep my knees from bending up) and the layout of the foot rollers just doesn't line up well with my feet. Basically it doesn't get past my arch to the actual pad of my foot.
Obviously it's something of a roll of the dice for long term but I like to think of myself as handy enough to fix if something broke and it looks easily serviced with zip off access to many sections. I have generally had good luck with assorted Insignia products in the past as offer better than 'good enough' performance at a worthwhile discount over the more name brand models and this seems to follow that mold.
Tl;dr: 8.5/10 no major deal breakers and good value for the money.
Massage chairs break VERY EASILY - and if you do some shopping you would see that the warranty for these chairs are in the hundreds of dollars for 3-5 years
A typical $2,000 massage chair is roughly $300-500 to warranty for 3-5 years.
Warranty will cover in home repairs (how are you going to move the chair if it breaks), removal of broken chair and replacement with a new chair.
Now ask yourself this. Why would Best Buy, a company that pushes their GeekSquad warranty on USB cables and smart lightbulbs, refuse to offer a pricey warranty program on massage chairs? Because it would cost them more money to service/replace the chairs than the warranty program profits.
Save $1000 now then in a year be stuck with a chair that can't be serviced / repaired without an additional cost.

Super confused with these marketing words...
Secondly, again, this chair is not remotely a replacement for a proper massage. If you disagree, then I highly suggest looking for a new massage therapist.
Third, you're both ignoring the repair aspect I mentioned and is being discussed by everyone else in the thread. A malfunction out of warranty and you're either shelling out 3-figures or, likely, just sitting on it for a year before throwing it out.
Lastly, a $100 massage gun and your significant other can accomplish the same or better relief. It also doesn't take up 10sqft in your house. We could argue not needing a second person blah blah blah. Just saying, there's options. Think about them before blowing a grand on something.
Happy ending not included

I used my previous massage chair nearly every day for 5 years before it broke on me (which I would say is unacceptable, it should last longer but that's another discussion). I'd say it was 50 hours of use per year (15 minutes per day I used it). At $1000, that's $4 an hour for an admittedly inferior massage compared to a real therapist, but completely convenient and on-demand. I still say it was money well spent.
On the other hand, my massage gun sits useless because I really can't reach my back with it which is exactly what a massage chair is designed for.
