Tello has moved to GSM SIMs, so no longer can you re-use old Sprint SIMs. Tello will provide a free SIM when you sign up for new service (or for an existing customer using an old CDMA SIM). But, if (like me) you are worried about how long it will take to receive the SIM directly from Tello because your current MVNO contract (MINT for me) is about to expire, Amazon has the
SIM kit [amazon.com] for $2 (typically $7+) with 1-day shipping with Prime.
Or, if you just want an extra SIM card for those of us that are jumping back and forth between MVNOs (since apparently you can't re-use the GSM SIMs on Tello), this is a good option.

My father has Samsung S9 unlocked from Cricket Wireless.
Tried to sign-up T-mobile Connect Prepaid plan, but couldn't pass the IMEI checker.
He is currently using US Mobile(T-mobile network). Strange.

Great phone support too.
