The proprietary power supply and motherboard headers in this computer mean you will run into issues with future upgrades. This is intentional, slimy, and bad for the environment.

I'm using the same 1660 Super in my older i7-3930K build. It works great! This deal won't last long so order it as soon as possible!

how is this Lenovo Legion https://www.costco.com/lenovo-leg...84655.html compared to this Dell XPS deal. The Legion is selling for $899 plus tax but assuming if someone have $100 off $500 costco coupon it will be $800 plus tax as compared to XPS for $640 plus tax. So is the costco one worth it after comparing the specifications?

Here are detailed specification for Legion. Some noticeable differences
Legion has additional 1TB HDD which XPS is missing
Legion includes keyboard/mouse.
Legion has 16GB ram compared to 8GB in XPS.
XPS have 512 SSD but Legion have 256GB SSD which should be okay given Legion have 1TB HDD included.

Processor & Memory:
10th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-10400 Processor at 2.9GHz

Drives:
1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
256GB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive

Graphics & Video:
NVIDIA® GeForce GTX™ 1660 SUPER Graphics, 6GB

Communications:
Intel® Wi-Fi 6 (2x2) + Bluetooth® 5.0

2x Combination Audio Jack
1x Display Port

Additional Information:

That comes out to around $850 with tax for me after the $100 coupon. If the Dell was still available for $640 plus tax then it would be the better deal but since it is not this looks pretty good especially after the $100 off coupon. It would be nice to have more details about the MB and PSU.

Almost immediately after I hit "Purchase", I received 2 emails from American Express to confirm that I just used their offer(s). One was for the $100 off, the other for an extra Hilton Honor point per $ spent at Dell. (Obviously have the HHonors card)
I have experience from Dell from last month (purcahsed an Alienware R12).
My card was 'charged' immediately and received the same AMEX Confirmation Email, but since the dell 'charge' is just a pre-authorization, it dropped off and the AMEX credit never posted.
It only posted after Dell properly charged my card when the computer shipped. I then received the AMEX credit a few days after that.

So yeah, if it is shipping within 3-4 days then you shoiuld get the credit. If not, your credit won't post. Up to you if you think you can fight them on it.

Will the Dell Amex offer that expires in 4 days work for me? It does show up as pending transaction already for the full amount but wondering since it won't ship till May...
Actually got an email already from Amex saying that I redeemed the offer, so I guess it's good!

thanks for your response. Apart from some hardware upgrade, other advantage of paying slightly extra for Legion would be Costco's extended warranty and easy returns.

Thank you for pointing this out! I had already placed my order and went back to cancel, and it is already "Confirmed" and cannot be cancelled only 2 minutes after I ordered. What a deceitful thing for them to do. Frown

I then tried to cancel via Chat, and of course it says "We're sorry, but chat isn't available right now. Please choose a different contact option or try again later."

Not happy with them at all...I wish I had seen this earlier, and I'll hope to give this and other comments about Premium Support more visibility so other people do not make the same mistake that I did.
I was in same boat, I called up and spoke to a guy. He wanted me to cancel the order and reorder and I said ABSOLITLY NOT LOL
It was 65$ worth of add on that where subscription based. He gave me a coupon/email to reply to AFTER I get the product. Email will refund me 50$ and unsubcribe to the offers.
Rather lose 15$ than lose the entire deal.
Try again someone will definitely help and answer

While that sounds nice and all. The Costco purchase would be 40% more. That's an extreme amount for a better warranty.

Not counting $100 costco coupon because there is also the $100 Amex offer, both of which not everyone has. So $640 vs $900.

900÷640 = 1.40625

Anyway. Dell has been having one of these sales every week or so. Different configs for different prices. Optical drive or not, 8gb vs 16gb ram, 1650 Super or 1660 Super or 2060. No matter what, they've all been good deals.

Lmao, $1000 for a 1660 super is not a hot deal. This isn't 2016.

Give it a bit of time and you'll be kicking yourself for being a moron and spending $500 over actual cost

Thanks for the info! I can only handle so much CS attempts at a time, but maybe I will try again tomorrow, and knowing what solution you received helps me know what might be available if I reach someone.

Usually anyone can purchase them with the code, the problem is the code has limited number of uses and they will expire fast when it's a really good price.

It's actually a fairly solid setup. Add another RAM stick to get it to 16gb and it'll handle VR well.
Hi, sorry to bother. Purchased this earlier. I wanted to add another 8gb. Do you know what kind of memory I should buy.
