I have been used/seen this chair past of working at the many different start up companies,

Pros:
1) Last longer
2) Comfort

Cons:
1) Ugly
2) Squeezy sound
3) Easy part breaking (lumbar support, roller stuck, arm rest, hydrolic heigh adjust, etc)
4) After all, it is not that comfort at all
5) Hate start up company show up

Best overall, I am more love in steelcase chair!!!

Not really? It's build to last but as you can see, no fancy padding.
Any suggestion for a good comfortable chair? I, unfortunately, bought a Secret Lab and it's so uncomfortable.

As someone with a $99 ikea chair, I want something new that will last since I now work from home exclusively. A lot of the comments on here make me think it's worth it to invest, but can anyone recommend what options are worth it for someone with no experience?

I also work in my basement which slants backwards from my desk, making it uncomfortable to sit for extended periods of time. Would something like this help (even with the best seat tilt option)?
Right before Covid Fully hit, I purchased a Herman Miller Embody X Logitech Chair, and I can say without a doubt, that it was worth the investment. Yes it is a lot of money for a chair, but if you have any type of posture or back issues, it is definitely worth it. When I had to work from home for a few months, it was great getting to be in that chair for 8-10 hours a Day, and not once was I uncomfortable. I will say they take a minute to figure out how you sit in them, and the best way to adjust it for you, but once you get that sweet spot, they are AMAZING. I always recommend the Posture Fit back support (I think that is what it is called). If you are willing to drop the money on it, they are definitely worth it. Plus having a 12 year no questions asked warranty is no joke either.

If you are breaking a Herman Miller chair easily, you are definitely either in the wrong size, or are EXTREMELY tough on the Chair. I have an Embody X Logitech, and that is built like a tank, plus it have a 12 year warranty, so if there is a part that breaks, it is covered. I have tried them all, I was on the fence between the Steelcase Gesture, and the Embody. Tried them both, and the Embody was the one I kept. Each person is built a little different, but if you get the one sized for you, there should be no issues of it breaking.

People will not have a second thought about spending that much for on a couch they sit in for a hour or to a day and yet are upset if a chair designed to be sat in for 8 hours every day and be comfortable for a decade is the same price. I don't get it.
THANK YOU! Someone finally said it!

Where's your proof that it's the best selling chair or was that a blanket comment from an armchair quarterback? Cite your reference. Otherwise...sheet it! 😆
A simple google search could have answered this question for you. These are some of the longest lasting chairs that you can buy. If you can't afford the price fine, but shut up and stop trolling.

Does the Aeron or any other mesh chair hold up for larger dudes? I'm 6'1 220lbs currently and ~210lbs at minimum. I like mesh chairs but every chair sags within a year or so of regular use despite being way under weight limits (or the cushions get squashed in non mesh chairs). Would really like to get a chair I don't have to replace for at least 5+ years but I'm skeptical that even these will not sag in that timeframe. Dunno if anybody else has found a solution.
I am 6'2" and ring it at about 250lbs, I have a Herman Miller Embody X Logitech (just flashier looking, otherwise it is just an Embody). It is AMAZING (once you get it dialed in). I can sit in it for 10 hours a day with 0 discomfort or pain. I personally have not tried an Aeron, but knowing HM they are probably great. But I can personally speak to the Embody, and can say that the mesh has 0 sag to it, and I am a bit larger that what you are stating. Definitely worth it.

Did you get the right size and did you adjust it accordingly? HM even made a video on how to adjust the Aeron so you can sit in it correctly. Also, it can take up to a month or so for your muscles and body to get use to the mesh and sitting position of the Aeron.

Dang that's so much still after 23% off.

I'm sure you're gonna love it. I went to sit on it today for the first time. Was amazing. I'm gonna try with the dealer for under $900 with a similar config

Thanks for the post. This reminded me how my son needs a proper chair like a Herman Miller chair. Searched the local craigslist, found a 2016 fully loaded Mirra 2 which was barely used (looked and felt better than my 2019 Mirra 2) for just $340. Drove 45 mins and picked it up today. Such a bargain.
