YMMV Milwaukee M12 6ah and 3ah battery pack for $99. Homedepot.com said they are not available at my store in Tulsa but there were 3 there today. I bought one of them. This is a really good deal if you can find it nearby. For reference the 6ah battery by itself is currently $119 at Home Depot.
Ok deal, but 10$ per ah is slick. Some would argue that $11 per ah isn't a huge factor, but for guys searching for a real slick deals it is. It would a slick to me if these were 3 3ah cp.
What's the resale value of a 6ah? I have an extra battery I prob won't use.. Idk, is the m12 line really worth getting in to?
Depends. For big jobs I have DeWalt. I bought the M12 line for my RV primarily as the pieces are dramatically smaller and lighter particularly some of the older "brushed" versions of tools. And you can get them surprisingly inexpensively... I have a pretty complete line of good tools now with a very small weight and size footprint and you try to get inside RV spaces with a big 20 volt tool. Oh, the M12 line is great in cabinets anywhere, lots of cabinet makers use the smaller items. I'm modding some doors and drawers in my new travel trailer as we speak... I just saw a guy on HGTV using a 20 volt max tool in a cabinet... I thought, my 3/8th inch ratchet would have fit easy... Oh, I have one of the small lights in the drawer right be the door on my trailer and have grabbed it a couple of times already... The DeWalt's won't fit.
So, it depends. When I'm working on my deck, it's all DeWalt, all the time particularly tools like the FlexVolt grinder, and I bow to my portable table saw each time I use it, but yellow and black has not seen the inside of the travel trailer.

Thanks for your point of view. My tool collection is a little of each but now mostly newer Makitas, when they had great deals just before the 2020 fiasco which started plateauing the sales on materials and tools since a major influx of DIYers entered the market. Also scored a black Friday DeWalt 3-piece deal. I really don't mind having different lines since most of the big three have been practically giving away free batteries. I see this Milwaukee lineup differently now with the portability and agility. Maybe someday I'll pick up more tool-only deals as they develop newer lines and sell off older stock. Think I'll keep the extra m12 battery now.
