Next year, They'll put M1 chip and call it a day. Like they did for IPad Pro.
Are they already planning a 7th Gen? 5th Gen came out in 2017, it has been a while for ATV 4k upgrade
Seems to be every 2-3yrs they update Apple TV so probably will be a delay
That doesn't mean that another new ATV will be released with the new chip. The A12 is likely enough to handle anything the Apple TV can do for the next 3 years.
M1 seems like overkill for Apple TV.
