You won't lose them, so it's to your benefit to take advantage of this regardless of politics. That's the way I see it anyway.

It's amazing how people on the surface hate the word socialism but love receiving stimulus checks and government sponsored and subsidized programs. I'm personally ok with it and for it but to all those who hate socialism, guess what, this is socialism and you're loving it so stop pretending you don't like it 😂

Have to make up for all that inflation.

How does it work if your household qualifies through a spouse, but the spouse isn't the one the name of the broadband account is in ? Same address, etc. Of course. This is for the emergency route (loss of household income) and not the one that uses SSDI or SNAP etc to qualify.

"Qualify Through Your Child or Dependent

Any member of your household can make your household eligible. For example, if your child or dependent participates in the Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program, your household qualifies for the Emergency Broadband Benefit."

Edit: this is from the directory website link attached by the OP. scroll down a little bit.

Another epic waste of tax payer dollars

Ah yes, helping people pay for essential utilities. What a waste of money. I wish we'd just buy more missiles instead.

You're going to have to transfer the account to his name/bday/ and ssn.

I qualify for EBD. My brother and I subsribe to Ziply Fiber. They said that I would have to create an account and have it transferred to the one matching EBD to get the discount
