So I called them again, saying let's do a 3-way call with EBB to clarify this, b/c I believe the speed doesn't matter, I should qualify for the discount. They kept repeating over and over that their upper mgt and marketing dept told them only the 50/50 plan qualifies, and they refuse to call up the EBB. They can't change the "rules". In fact, they're not even the ones who handle this, its their "offline" dept, who do not speak to customers and there's no number to reach them. WTF??
I guess I gotta keep calling back until I can find a manager who will do the 3 way call with EBB? Feel like this is not worth the hassle. It's sooooo frustrating! They definitely try to make it as hard as possible for you to get the discount.
You don't happen to have the name of the agent/manager who helped apply the discount for you, do you?
I got the same crock of bull about the "offline" department the first time prior to my wife speaking to Diana. You need to be ready and able to file a complaint with your state's public utilities commission, and you need to tell whatever manager you speak to that the PUC will be your next call of you're lied to again. Be sure you tell them you've spoken to the EBB and that they stated in no uncertain terms there are no speed requirements or limitations in this plan. That's according to Kevin at the EBB. I sincerely hope you don't have to call the EBB, it was over an hour waiting for a rep with them.
Good luck.

I wish I could say there some magic or code to enter, there really isn't. Just keep trying if you have the time. Eventually you'll get someone decent.
Cheers.

Hopefully my experience helps someone. I agree that it totally depends on your luck if you're able to get a nice agent who's on the ball and willing to help. Good luck!!
Currently my BILL AMOUNT is $49.99, & I pay $19.99 after 3 discounts are applied:
Fios Internet Lifeline -9.25
Auto-Pay and Paper Free Discount -10.00
Fios Internet Discount -10.75
Verizon was unable to clarify if the Fios Internet discount of $10.75 will be reapplied back to my account once EBB funding expires. So, not sure if I should avail of the EBB???
TERMS say - At the end of the program you will be subject to our undiscounted rates and terms and conditions if you continue to receive Verizon's service
If so, did you get an email confirmation that EBB benefits have been applied to your account?
Does your online account balance reflect the changes the phone CS agent said?
I spoke to a CS agent several days ago.
So far, no email confirmation of the promised EBB benefit and when I log into my account no indication that changes are coming.
As usual, Verizon is very poor with communications.
For 100 off computers, COX said I had to wait for the unique code. Anybody has the experience to receive the code? Why do I have to wait?
I was approved by the government. COX did not activate the benefit. My status is still pending.

I see this on the COX website:
"We are experiencing higher than normal application volumes at this time. Applications may be delayed up to 5-10 days. Once approved, it may take up to 30 days for the EBB subsidy to appear on your bill."
Any answers will be helpful
I went through the same talking to 6 different Cox phone reps
Thanks
Did you receive the 100 off computer discount?

I went to COX chat, said it world take 30 days, after my NEXT bill. Cox keeps passing the buck to the next agent. Chat rep just "agreed with ever I posted, me thinks Cox giving me the runaround
Thanks
The 100 computer link I think is listed separate.
Good luck
They really knew nothing about it when you called them. Use the email I posted.
$100 discount is one time promotion code for pcsforperson.
If you search this thread, somebody was proved and received the $100 promotion code on the same day of application. It is really unfair to do this.
