I was unable to get the specs for each bottle but we can estimate them with some math.

Refill Count:
Typical size of the Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap [amazon.com] bottle is 12.5oz. Meanwhile, this refill contains 33oz. This leads to 2.64 total refills.

Plastic Usage:
For 12.5oz of liquid, it can be converted to 22.56 cubic inch volume. Considering majority of the bottle is in cylindrical tank shape, we can estimate the surface area of the bottle to be 47.9 square inch.

Similarly for 33oz of liquid, we can convert it to 91.5 cubic inch volume. But refill bottles are more close to resemble rectangle. Then the estimated surface area will be 91.5 square inch.

Assuming that the thickness of the plastic layer of each bottle is the same, the refill bottles contain 1.91 times more plastic compare to 12.5oz bottles. Meaning, you are using 0.74x less bottle (12.5oz) which equates to saving 34.97 square inch of plastic.

So overall, it does save some plastics. But I do agree that the margin is very small, and I wish they offered bigger refill bottles.

These are great but leave your hands very dry. I use a foaming pump with a 1/3 soap 2/3 water. If i use a 1:4 ratio, the foam is okay but not as thick as using a 1:3 soap water ratio

For those complaining about hands being too dry, especially folks with eczema, I recommend Kiehl's Hand Salve.

It may seem on the pricier side but it's a game changer. Also, it should be applied in very small quantity, which makes it go a long way.

I agree. I LOVE this scent but the soap always makes the eczema on my hands to flair up.

Contains fragrance FYI id you're allergic and whatever sulfolaurates are….I assume this is a foaming agent? Others soaps don't need them not sure why this does.

The pandemic has not been kind to eczema sufferers.

Not to psoriasis sufferers either.
No wonder my hands are like sandpaper after washing, I could NOT figure out why?! This is it. We have the dish soap and the hand soap from recent deals, guess I'll be stopping this.

You'll love Mrs. Meyer's lotion then!
Wait a second...

It's a scam!

Edit: To actually provide some useful information instead of just nonsense, I've found Gold Bond Ultimate Overnight Deep Moisturizing Lotion has been really good at soothing my chapped hands.

This is a good deal but if you're looking to reduce plastic I'm not sure this does at all. Only enough to fill a bottle twice so I don't know why the beefy handle.

I've tried it in the past and it wasn't enough for me at least. My go to now is Glysolid.
