I'm not sure if this is available everywhere, but I do see that it's available for shipping, so it might be. This is a good way to get RTX 3080 now as I can pick it up tomorrow.
Won't matter soon enough with 3080s being nerfed at the manufacturer to prevent profit in bitcoin mining. Should help even out the market very soon especially once resells find out their June shipped 3080s won't resell in mining rigs.
So you don't have any examples of better deals?
I've been following 3080 deals very closely and the ASUS ROG from Best Buy was one of best deals, if not the best, from the past few months.
3080Ti should be released this month, better just keep watching
They've been saying that for months, and at most it's 7% fps gain for almost 50% price increase. I used to tell myself that I'm waiting for the 3080 Ti when I can't get a 3080, but now that I have the 3080 I don't think I'm gonna upgrade to the 3080 Ti, even if I can sell my 3080 at a profit.
Probably not the greatest place to ask but I will try anyways.
Anyone here sold the 3080 and put in another video card and try to get into BIOS? I am having trouble getting into BIOS after installing a old Radeon video card. I was able to get into BIOS and turn on XMP with the 3080. I also want to format the computer and clean out all the bloatware with a fresh install of Windows but I can't since video display does not come up and just a black screen.
these are a decent machine if your not into rebuilding. i strongly getting liquid cooled if its an option. they are pretty loud with a stock cooling fan, and speaking from experience, a pain to try and swap in a 3rd party cooler.
i had to strip out everything but the power supply. its the same internal form factor as my r7, just different plastic bits on the outside.
easy to add ram or more ssd(unsure of this has more than one m.2 slot)
its $16xx not $1600; you have to strip everything and get the 8gb ram, 1tb hdd and amd ryzen 5600. I did get the liquid cooling and killer card. Downgrade everything else since you just want the 3800. Then you go find an inside sales dell rep. Chat might work too, but inside sales have better discounts. They also have the power to throw in premium support for free since it's near zero cost for them. Ordered mid-late April and will get it 5/4, so the wait was no too bad.
i sold the card and kept the system and put in my rx580 pretty much free upgrade coming from a i5 2500k overclocked lol. im pretty happy with the results
This one is probably a better deal but also had 2 months wait time. Also no 3rd party offers to sweeten the deal when buying from Cyberpower. Many people used Amex/Chase offers when buying from Best Buy, not to mention cashback and Best Buy rewards.
Its not in Nvidia's best interest to do that. They will leak the fix if they do that just like the 3060ti
Actually it is. They can start selling mining cards at a premium like their quadro line. Sell the same thing at a higher price because it's "professional" equipment.
Same specs as this but had 1000w, liquid cooled CPU, dark side case, just 512gb NVME for about $2k w/ CA tax and shipping. Yes gets hot, will need to change/add fans and thermal paste/pads on GPU. Mining 94-99 Mh/s at 88-94C in SoCa weather.

Dell killed the ability to use the 10% off code and the $50 off $699 code on Alienware Desktops. Doesn't work anymore.
Better off waiting for BB to have the CyberPowerPC or ASUS Strix pre-builts with 3080s for $1999. Those will use standard parts inside, giving you more options than a proprietary Dell system.
Or, you can order a pre-built all day long from IBuyPower or CyberPowerPC w/3080 for around $1899, although there is a 6-8 week lead. Again, no proprietary parts.
I bought one of the asus ROG 3080 prebuilts and it is crap quality compared to the dell. Keep an eye out for an alternative.

I picked up my ASUS ROG 3070 pre-built today from Best Buy. Quality is fine, especially compared to the Dell prebuilts I've purchased in the past. And nothing is proprietary in the ASUS.

Example 1 isn't even available for purchase yet. Says "Coming Soon".
Example 2 is nearly $400 more than the ASUS ROG from Best Buy.
